The posting

  The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and responsible Mechanic to join our team specializing in floor cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate is someone who has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills. This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial and industrial janitorial cleaning machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely at the warehouse or at client sites. Candidates with automotive, industrial, material-handling, small-engine/electromechanical or similar equipment repair backgrounds also be considered.   The Role Resource Management:

Work closely with the Warehouse and Procurement Teams. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of various mechanical & electrical issues on janitorial cleaning equipment such as Walk Behind/Ride On Auto Scrubbers, Propane/Electric Burnishers, Industrial Sweepers, Wet/Dry Vacuums, Carpet Extractors, Swing Machines, Golf Carts, etc. Keep work area organized, safe, and clean. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely equipment turnaround. Regular travel between company sites and client locations. Read and interpret parts manuals to identify correct part numbers. Accurately report repair activities, parts used, and causes of failure in the online application. Maintain spare parts inventory and prepare detailed reports on usage and stock levels. Use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.

  The Qualifications

1–2 years of hands-on mechanical/electrical repair, maintenance or troubleshooting experience. Electrical troubleshooting/multimeter experience, along with the ability to work with motors, wiring, batteries/chargers, switches, relays/fuses and similar components A valid BC Class 5 driver's license and acceptable driving record meeting company/insurance requirements are mandatory Ability to adapt to new tasks, machines, and technologies. Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics, service manuals and parts manuals and perform logical/root-cause troubleshooting A willingness to learn and keen attention to detail. Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of responsibility. Ability to lift 50+ lbs on an regular basis. A recent clear driving record is required. Ability to clearly communicate equipment faults, required repairs, parts requirements and repair status.

  Work Schedule This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule. Occasional flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet operational or training needs.    The Compensation

Hourly Rate: $26.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Location: Working out of our Delta warehouse but will support other locations. Comprehensive benefits package.
