Provide Compassionate, Dependable Care in a Client’s Home

Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate live-in caregiver to provide personalized care and assistance to a client in their private residence in Dallas, Texas.

This opportunity is ideal for a caregiver who is comfortable providing hands-on personal care, assisting with mobility and transfers using a Hoyer lift, and understanding the use of a sleep PAP machine.

The client requires assistance with personal hygiene, changing, mobility, and daily care needs. The caregiver must also be comfortable working in a smoking-friendly household with a large dog and a cat.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing respectful, attentive care and understands the importance of maintaining the client's comfort, safety, dignity, and independence.

Your Weekend Schedule

  • Friday: 7:00 AM start
  • Saturday: Live-in care
  • Sunday: Live-in care
  • Monday: 7:00 AM end

Daily Rate: $330

This is a live-in weekend assignment spanning Friday morning through Monday morning. Consistent availability for the entire assignment is essential to provide reliable care and maintain continuity.

Overnight sleeping arrangements, required awake hours, and designated breaks will be discussed before the assignment begins.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide hands-on assistance with daily care needs while helping the client remain safe, comfortable, and supported at home.

Personal Care and Daily Living Responsibilities

  • Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Providing personal hygiene and incontinence care.
  • Changing the client as needed and maintaining proper cleanliness.
  • Assisting with repositioning and mobility as appropriate.
  • Using a Hoyer lift safely to assist with transfers, following proper procedures and the established care plan.
  • Maintaining the client's privacy, dignity, and comfort during all personal care activities.

PAP Machine and Safety Responsibilities

  • Understanding the client's sleep PAP machine and its routine use.
  • Assisting with equipment setup and use as directed and within the caregiver's training.
  • Observing the client's comfort and reporting equipment concerns or changes in condition.
  • Following established care instructions and safety procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Providing companionship and compassionate support.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment related to client care.
  • Following the client's established daily routines and care plan.
  • Communicating concerns and changes in the client's condition to the appropriate contact.
  • Demonstrating patience, professionalism, and respect throughout the assignment.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is experienced, attentive, dependable, and comfortable providing hands-on care in a live-in setting.

We're especially interested in caregivers who have:

  • Previous experience in professional caregiving, personal care, or home care.
  • Experience using a Hoyer lift for safe client transfers.
  • Familiarity with sleep PAP machines and their routine use.
  • Experience providing changing, hygiene, and incontinence care.
  • The ability to follow care instructions and safe transfer procedures.
  • A patient, compassionate approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to commit to the full Friday-to-Monday schedule.
  • Comfort working in a smoking-friendly home.
  • Comfort around a large dog and a cat.
