Full-Time Caregiver – 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts

Location: Dallas, TX 75219 Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM Schedule: 3 shifts per week / 36 hours

Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking two experienced full-time caregivers to provide consistent one-on-one care for a client with advanced dementia residing in a senior living community in Dallas.

We are hiring for both a day-shift caregiver and an overnight caregiver. Each caregiver will work three 12-hour shifts per week, providing a consistent 36-hour weekly schedule.

The ideal caregiver will have experience working with individuals with dementia and understand the importance of patience, routine, redirection, safety supervision, and compassionate hands-on care.

Available Shifts

Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Applicants must be available to work 3 days per week and reliably complete the full 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing continuous one-on-one supervision and companionship
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care
  • Providing meal and feeding assistance as needed
  • Providing reminders, cueing, and frequent redirection
  • Monitoring the client closely for safety
  • Assisting with mobility and activities of daily living
  • Responding calmly and appropriately to confusion and dementia-related behaviors
  • Maintaining a familiar and consistent routine
  • Providing reassurance and emotional support
  • Communicating changes in the client's condition or behavior to the office
  • Documenting care provided throughout the shift

Requirements:

  • Previous professional caregiving experience required
  • Previous dementia or memory-care experience strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable caring for a client with advanced dementia
  • Must demonstrate patience and the ability to calmly redirect a cognitively impaired client
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to consistently work three 12-hour shifts per week

This is a consistent 36-hour-per-week assignment for caregivers seeking a stable schedule and the opportunity to provide individualized care to a client with advanced dementia.
