Summary of the Role

At Amadeus, we believe diverse perspectives drive better outcomes. We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, customer-facing airport transformation and implementation programs across the Indian Subcontinent.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring successful execution from planning through deployment and transition. You will collaborate with customers, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver results while maintaining strong governance, financial control, and stakeholder engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Responsibility for all projects in the India Subcontinent
  • Lead large-scale airport technology, transformation, and delivery programs from initiation to closure.
  • Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Manage, Mentor and guide project team members while fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Partner with customer stakeholders, including senior leadership and CxO-level executives.
  • Drive program planning, governance, reporting, and execution activities.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, invoicing, and change management.
  • Lead customer reviews, steering committee meetings, and program status discussions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Establish project milestones, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
  • Support knowledge transfer and operational transition activities at project completion.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and governance processes.

What Your Day Might Look Like

  • Reviewing project progress and delivery milestones.
  • Engaging with customers and internal stakeholders to discuss project status and priorities.
  • Managing and Mentoring your India based Project Managers
  • Facilitating risk and issue review sessions to keep projects on track.
  • Working with delivery, product, engineering, and operational teams to remove roadblocks.
  • Presenting updates to customer leadership and steering committees.
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, project changes, and governance activities.
  • Supporting implementation, testing, cutover, and transition activities.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in IT projects and program delivery.
  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale programs, projects, or integrated delivery schedules.
  • Experience working with Airport or Aviation solutions
  • Strong experience in:Project & Program Management Stakeholder Management Customer Relationship Management Risk & Issue Management Financial and Budget Management Governance and Reporting Change Management
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and customer-facing engagements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, or equivalent Project/Program Management certification.
  • Experience working with Airport or Aviation solutions.
  • Exposure to passenger processing or airport operations systems.
  • International project delivery experience.
  • Experience working in multicultural and multi-country environments.
