The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key job responsibilities As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for: 1. Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs 2. Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery 3. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies 4. Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies 5. Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

A day in the life You will start your day reviewing your current engagement tasks and syncing with your team to align on priorities. Much of your time is spent building and configuring solutions in AWS, writing scripts, and testing your work to ensure it meets quality standards. You will join customer calls to present progress, ask clarifying questions, and gather requirements. Between hands-on delivery, you will document your work, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and explore new AWS services to expand your skill set.

- 2+ years of cloud architecture and designing and implementing cloud solutions experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP) - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby - Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)

- AWS Solutions Architect Certification - Knowledge of the primary AWS services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, VPC, Route53, and S3 - Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a company - Experience with infrastructure as code, ops automation, and configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible - Experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies - Master's degree or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
