The posting

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

We are looking for a skilled Data Center Technician with a passion for technology to help us expand our cloud to the next level. You may be the primary point of contact for both internal teams (such as Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Software Developers) and external partners (Hardware Vendors, Contractors, and Service Providers). You'll be working in large-scale, high-density data centers where you'll help change the face of cloud technology in the region.

At AWS, career progression is part of our culture. Whether your path leads to Systems, Network, or Database Engineering, Software Development, AWS Support, Technical Operations, or Project Management, we'll work with you to create a development plan that helps you reach your goals — starting from Day One.

Please apply with your updated CV in English.

Key job responsibilities Problem Solving • Maintain high system reliability by prioritizing and resolving trouble tickets efficiently • Serve as an escalation point and technical troubleshooter for systems and network hardware issues • Investigate and resolve complex Linux server issues • Troubleshoot virtualization service problems

Technical • Troubleshoot technical issues across systems, networking, and power/mechanical domains • Remediate physical layer outages in systems and networks, including power-related problems • Participate in data center power and cooling events

Operations • Work rotating shifts to meet 24/7 on-call requirements • Install and configure server racks per internal SLAs • Triage and resolve trouble tickets for all devices in the assigned region • Act as the data center point of contact for high-severity issues • Replace server and network device components as needed • Ensure correct rotation of spare parts • Contribute to uptime improvement metrics • Enforce Amazon's security best practices • Collaborate with third-party vendors, contractors, and remote support teams

Project Management • Participate in and deliver high-impact small to mid-scale projects • Attend team meetings for metric analysis and project status updates • Contribute to building the world's largest cloud infrastructure

Mentoring • Share knowledge and support team members in developing their technical skills and best practices

A day in the life As a Data Center Technician, no two days are the same. You might start your morning reviewing support tickets and prioritizing the day's interventions. From there, you could be installing new servers in racks, diagnosing a network issue, or performing preventive maintenance on critical equipment.

You'll work at the heart of our infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams — network engineers, operations managers, and vendors. Each day brings new technical challenges that allow you to grow your skills and have a direct impact on the reliability of AWS services used by millions of customers worldwide.

You'll also have the opportunity to mentor colleagues, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and help shape the evolution of our practices and team. AWS provides assistive lifting equipment to support the physical aspects of the role, ensuring a safe and comfortable working environment for everyone.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
