The posting

Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support hardware supply chain procurement across Amazon Leo's satellite constellation. The role is responsible for purchase order management and delivery of satellite materials to meet production and engineering schedules. This role will work with multiple Supply Chain Managers and business functions in a team environment. You will work cross-functionally with supply chain managers, planning, warehouse, quality, and production.

Key job responsibilities 1. Place and manage purchase orders in SAP, working with Global Commodity Managers and category teams to support production and NPI builds. 2. Own and report on procurement metrics, including on-time delivery to need-by date, on-time delivery to promise date, PO health, and open PO aging. 3. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions when metrics miss target. 4. Manage and resolve PO-to-invoice discrepancies, returns, and quality issues with suppliers to prevent payment delays and receiving holds. 5. Onboard new suppliers into procurement systems, ensuring all required documentation, contracts, and compliance records are complete before first PO. 6. Ensure compliance with correct export and qualify flow-down requirements applicable to the Leo program. 7. Monitor safety stock and flag supply delays early and work with the team to develop mitigation plans, escalate critical shortages, and expedite parts. 8. Create and improve procurement processes including standard work, PO management playbooks, and supplier performance tracking to improve efficiency and reduce errors. 9. Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources and alternative supply options.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
