The posting

Are you passionate about solving technical challenges and keeping critical systems running smoothly? As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will play a key role in implementing technical solutions and providing high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications. You will troubleshoot and resolve problems that go beyond standard procedures, and your work will directly impact the productivity of teams and the reliability of systems across multiple locations. This is an opportunity for a self-motivated, curious individual who thrives on learning new technologies and making a tangible difference every day.

Key job responsibilities - Perform network engineering, troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration across a variety of software and hardware environments to keep infrastructure and computing systems available during production hours. - Diagnose and resolve technical issues by analyzing log files, monitoring system health indicators, and identifying root causes of operational problems — escalating appropriately when issues require significant deviation from standard procedures. - Define requirements, manage execution, and deliver local IT projects that drive continuous improvement, partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to remove blockers and meet goals. - Author and maintain knowledge base articles, operating procedures, and user documentation while leveraging scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks and improve IT efficiency. - Support hiring efforts, train team members, and serve as an escalation point for associates encountering unexpected situations, coordinating change management activities and emergent events as needed.

A day in the life Your day may begin by reviewing system monitors and open tickets to prioritize the most urgent issues. You could find yourself replacing a network switch in one hour and writing a Python script to automate a repetitive configuration task the next. You will regularly collaborate with operations teams, participate in change management coordination, and mentor associates who look to you for technical guidance. Expect to balance hands-on troubleshooting with project work that improves how your team operates.

About the team Our team provides around-the-clock IT support that keeps Amazon Operations running. We build, maintain, and continuously improve the technology infrastructure our internal customers depend on every day. We value collaboration, creative problem-solving, and a genuine commitment to helping each other grow. If you are excited about working in a fast-paced environment where your technical skills directly enable thousands of people to do their best work, we would love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
