The posting

Are you a hands-on technical instructor who thrives at the intersection of engineering and education? Amazon is building a new training organization within our Installation and Deployment team, and we need a versatile Operations Engineer to help shape it from the ground up. As the team scales to support a growing network of fulfillment facilities, you will develop, deliver, and continuously improve technical training programs for material handling equipment (MHE) — spanning conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and associated automation infrastructure.

You will combine classroom and field-based instruction with video production and digital learning development, translating complex installation procedures into clear, scalable content. Working closely with Mechanical Integration Leads (MILs), Electrical Installation Leads (EILs), and field execution teams, you will capture real-world scenarios and turn them into training that reflects how systems actually come together on site. This is a rare opportunity to join a newer organization where your contributions will directly shape the standards, processes, and culture of the team.

Key job responsibilities - Design and deliver hands-on and classroom-based technical training across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines for MHE installation crews, field technicians, and integration leads — covering topics from structural steel placement and conveyor alignment through power distribution, device commissioning, and quality control procedures. - Record, edit, and produce professional training videos and digital learning modules using industry-standard tools, building out the organization's training library with content grounded in real field scenarios and best practices. - Collaborate with MILs, EILs, controls engineers, and field execution teams to identify training gaps, validate technical accuracy, and align training schedules with site deployment timelines so crews are prepared ahead of mobilization. - Partner with the Technical Training Lead to prioritize content development based on deployment schedules, incident reports, and field feedback — driving continuous improvement of training effectiveness and operational readiness. - Define and track success metrics for training programs, including completion rates and competency progression, while developing Standard Work Instructions and installation standard operating procedures to support consistent execution across sites.

A day in the life Your morning might start in a training room walking technicians through conveyor mechanical alignment using hands-on demonstrations and e-learning pre-work you built. After the session, you head to the installation floor to record conduit installation and wire termination procedures for a new training video. In the afternoon, you are editing footage into a polished module or building an online course complete with annotated field photos and scenario-based exercises. You close out by syncing with your Training Lead on upcoming site visits and flagging a training gap surfaced by a recent incident report.

About the team We are a newer organization within Amazon's Installation and Deployment team, focused on building the training function that will support MHE installation across a rapidly scaling fulfillment network. Our mission is to ensure every field crew has the knowledge and confidence to execute safely and efficiently. As we grow, you will have the opportunity to shape processes, define standards, and take on broader responsibilities in an environment where your ideas carry real weight. We work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and field execution teams, and we are looking for collaborative, self-starting team members who are excited to build something new.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
