The posting

The Amazon Kids+ team builds innovative products and services for children ages 3-12 and their caregivers. Kids+ is available across Amazon Fire Tablets, Fire TV, Echo devices, and Kindles and is an integral component to Kids Edition Devices (Tablet, Echo, and Kindle) which are built from the ground up just for children. As the Principal Product Management for Amazon Kids Subscriptions, you will be responsible for making Kids+ a great experience for customers regardless of whether they use one device or many.

As the Principal Product Manager – Technical on the Amazon Kids team within Amazon's Devices & Services organization, you'll help build innovative, AI-powered services for parents and families across three strategic pillars: Parental Controls, Personalization, and Parent's Assistant. You're an AI-native builder with strong GenAI product expertise — both in how you build (process, architecture, technical decision-making) and what you build (customer-facing, AI-powered products).

Key job responsibilities As the Principal Product Manager – Technical, you will:

- Define the product vision and strategy for AI-powered family services spanning Parental Controls, Personalization, and Parent's Assistant. - Build with AI — lead end-to-end development of generative AI products, from ideation and architecture through launch and iteration, including hands-on technical design, model selection, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks. - Own the technical roadmap — make sound architectural and technical trade-off decisions in close partnership with engineering, applied science, and design. - Translate customer needs into product — turn insights about parents and families into experiences that are safe, trustworthy, and delightful. - Drive cross-functional alignment — coordinate across teams and senior stakeholders to deliver results. - Define success metrics and experimentation frameworks to measure the impact of AI-powered features on family engagement, safety, and satisfaction.

About the team The Family Intelligence team is building the next generation of intelligent services that help parents manage, personalize, and enhance their family's digital experience across Amazon's ecosystem. Working at the forefront of applied generative AI, we tackle some of the most meaningful and technically challenging problems in family technology — in a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment at the center of Amazon innovation. As part of the Amazon Kids team, winner of the prestigious KAPi award for best hardware and service, we continue to push boundaries in creating revolutionary experiences for parents and kids.

- 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end to end product delivery - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product - Experience managing complex projects and/or programs within a matrix environment - 3+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping AI/ML-powered products, with a strong emphasis on generative AI (e.g., LLMs, foundation models, conversational AI, content generation) - Demonstrated ability to write technical specifications, define system architecture, and engage deeply with engineering teams on implementation details - Experience with personalization systems, recommendation engines, or adaptive user experiences - Experience managing end-to-end product lifecycles for customer-facing products at scale

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements - Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience - Experience building products in the family, kids, or trust & safety space - Deep familiarity with responsible AI practices, content moderation, and child safety considerations - Proven ability to translate complex AI/ML capabilities into intuitive, customer-friendly product experiences - Familiarity with Amazon's product development processes and tools

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
