The posting

As a Principal Engineer on the Annapurna Labs analog/mixed-signal design team, you will be the technical authority for analog IP that powers AWS's custom silicon portfolio. You will architect, design, and deliver high-performance analog IP blocks — including high-speed SerDes/PHY, PLLs, data converters, power management circuits, and I/O interfaces — across advanced CMOS nodes for products like Graviton, Nitro and Trainium. You will drive IP reuse and portability strategies, lead silicon bring-up campaigns, and set the technical direction for the analog IP roadmap.

Key job responsibilities •Drive execution: Lead the full design cycle from architecture through silicon validation — spec, schematic, layout, simulation, tapeout, and bring-up. •Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with SoC architecture, digital design, physical design, DFT, packaging, and system teams to integrate analog IP seamlessly. •Set technical direction: Define design methodologies, flows, and best practices. Evaluate and select EDA tools, PDKs, and foundry processes. •Innovate at scale: Develop IP that is reusable, portable across process nodes, and designed to meet the performance, power, and area (PPA) needs of multiple products simultaneously.

•B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred) •15+ years of hands-on analog/mixed-signal design experience in advanced CMOS nodes (7nm and below) •Direct experience designing die-to-die (D2D) interconnect PHY — standard and/or advanced package •Deep expertise in one or more: high-speed SerDes/PHY, PLL/DLL, data converters, LDOs/power management, or I/O interfaces •Track record of successful tapeouts and silicon bring-up in volume production •Experience with design methodologies for IP portability and reuse across multiple process nodes •Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, device modelling, and process technology

Experience with integrated voltage regulators (IVR) for high-performance compute •Experience leading analog IP development in a hyperscaler or large semiconductor company •Familiarity with GPIO design for multi-standard (LPDDR, PCIe, ETH) compatibility •Background in developing reusable IP platforms with configurable/parameterized architectures •Experience in cloud/data center silicon or high-performance computing •Strong publication record or patents in analog IC design

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
