The posting

Customer Logistics Security (CLS) within Stores Security (StoresSec) is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to define and deliver security programs with broad cross-organizational impact across Amazon's global logistics systems, from robotics platforms to the technology stacks that power worldwide fulfillment, transportation, and delivery operations.

Amazon's logistics network spans first mile (fulfillment and inbound), middle mile (sortation and transportation), and last mile (delivery) operations, along with Amazon Grocery and Amazon Prime Air drone-based delivery. Securing these systems at global scale requires identifying security gaps across diverse and rapidly evolving technology stacks, recognizing threat patterns that span operational boundaries, and driving a portfolio of security programs that protect customer trust and help ensure safe, reliable operations.

CLS builds and maintains security solutions that protect logistics and robotics infrastructure worldwide. This Principal TPM will operate with complete independence as the single-threaded leader responsible for identifying security risks across logistics systems and Amazon Robotics environments, defining technical requirements for CLS-built solutions, and influencing delivery of a portfolio of security projects across all logistics lines of business. You will be expected to operate in areas where security strategy has not yet been defined, applying deep knowledge of security systems and technologies to invent, evolve, improve, and simplify solutions. You will own the technology roadmap for CLS security solutions, decompose complex security problems into straightforward solutions, and drive large-scale engineering efforts that solve significantly complex or endemic security problems across Amazon's worldwide operations footprint.

This role requires deep security domain expertise and a broad understanding of the company systems and technologies relevant to logistics security. You will consistently bring strong, data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions, evaluate complex architectures spanning IT and operational technology boundaries, and influence senior stakeholders (VPs/SVPs) on security investment and prioritization. You will represent complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to leaders up to three levels above, helping them understand the decisions they need to make and the options available.

Key job responsibilities - Security Risk & Threat Analysis: Assess logistics systems, robotics platforms, and operational technology across Amazon's worldwide operations, spanning first mile, middle mile, last mile, Grocery, and Prime Air, to identify security opportunities and systemic threat patterns. Identify gaps and opportunities within and between countries, architectures, and organizations. Recognize when systems are susceptible to prior failure patterns and steer teams to avoid recurrence. - Technical Requirements, Design & Architecture Influence: Serve as a trusted representative of the CLS engineering organization, independently influencing system design and solution architecture across partner teams. Translate risk findings into clear technical requirements for CLS-built security solutions at global scale. Apply deep domain knowledge to invent new approaches where existing solutions fall short. Recognize when designs require additional guidance from senior engineers or subject matter experts and engage them appropriately. - Portfolio Program Leadership: Own and drive a portfolio of security projects across all logistics lines of business. Make the case for technology programs, influence teams to dedicate resources, and lead the effort or find the appropriate owner. Ensure findings in one domain accelerate risk reduction in others. - Strategy, Roadmaps & Delivery: Own the cross-functional program roadmap for Customer Logistics Security, operating in areas where strategy has not yet been defined. Drive large-scale engineering efforts end-to-end, from risk assessment through global deployment, creating the correct sense of urgency and aligning teams toward coherent security strategies. - Stakeholder Influence & Communication: Build consensus and influence organization priorities, system owners, and technology direction across robotics engineering, logistics operations, and security organizations. Represent complex decisions and trade-offs clearly to leaders up to three levels above. Drive executive-level escalations with excellent judgment. - Mentorship & Team Development: Amplify impact by educating TPM and engineering communities on security program management best practices. Mentor TPMs and program managers, participate in Principal TPM promotion assessments and talent reviews, and raise the bar on operational rigor and security domain expertise.

A day in the life Customer Logistics Security builds and maintains security solutions that protect Amazon's logistics and robotics infrastructure at global scale. You will work across the full breadth of Amazon's logistics operations, fulfillment centers, sortation facilities, transportation networks, last mile delivery stations, Grocery operations, and Prime Air, identifying where security gaps exist and driving solutions that close them. You will regularly operate in ambiguous spaces where security strategy has not yet been defined, applying deep domain knowledge and data-driven judgment to create clarity, invent new approaches, and simplify complex problems. Every engagement leaves our partners with stronger security posture and clearer ownership of ongoing risk management. You will collaborate daily with a cross-functional team of security engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and program managers. You will assess emerging risks as logistics systems and Amazon Robotics capabilities evolve, identify threat patterns that cut across operational boundaries, define what CLS needs to build next, and ensure delivery stays on track across a complex, multi-domain stakeholder landscape. You will make the case for security investments, proactively drive system-level reviews, build consensus across senior leadership, and create mechanisms that ensure programs succeed long after your direct involvement ends. Your work directly protects customer trust and helps ensure safe, reliable operations worldwide.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
