The posting

Are you passionate about designing the planning engine behind one of Amazon Japan's fastest-growing delivery programs? Do you want to define how packages move from sellers into Amazon's network—turning routing, cost, and capacity decisions into measurable performance for sellers and customers?

Amazon Logistics Japan is seeking a Program Manager to join the EasyShip Operational Planning, Cost Optimization & Enablement team. In this role, you will own First Mile routing methodology, budget planning, and operational playbooks that scale EasyShip across new sellers, categories, and geographies. This is a hands-on role where you'll build plans from the ground up—establishing routing constraints, defining surge standard operating procedures, and transforming recurring issues into standardized processes or system fixes. You'll serve as the First Mile liaison and partner closely with transportation, supply chain, and account management teams to solve complex operational challenges.

At Amazon, you'll work alongside the latest AI and GenAI tools that are increasingly woven into how teams operate: from AI-powered capabilities that accelerate decision-making, to Generative AI that helps you focus on work that truly matters. You'll have opportunities and resources to develop AI fluency at your own pace, with continuous learning built into the culture.

Key job responsibilities Design and establish First Mile routing methodology and constraints, including surge application standard operating procedures, route quality analysis, and coordination with partner teams to ensure route plans are executed and shared with transportation teams Manage and prioritize program lifecycles for forecasting, routing, and truck dispatch schedules across peak and business-as-usual periods, proactively coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure reliable transportation arrangements for sellers Lead new seller onboarding and operational readiness initiatives, including bag and label distribution, and drive First Mile enablement for category expansion and geographic expansion across domestic and out-of-catchment areas Partner with stakeholders across the organization to align routing, capacity, and cost plans with execution, converting recurring operational pain points into permanent process improvements or system fixes Handle operational escalations, configure service area polygons, optimize forecast accuracy, and assign tasks to team members to ensure smooth execution of daily operations

A day in the life Your day begins with monitoring routing performance and seller readiness metrics. You'll analyze data to identify trends, then collaborate with transportation partners to resolve capacity constraints or adjust routes for upcoming demand changes. Mid-day, you might lead a cross-functional meeting to align on a new category expansion, working through operational readiness requirements and timeline dependencies. You'll spend time building or refining standard operating procedures based on recent escalations, ensuring that lessons learned become embedded processes. Throughout the day, you'll field questions from team members, provide guidance on complex routing scenarios, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders across the EasyShip ecosystem.

About the team The EasyShip Operational Planning, Cost Optimization & Enablement team is the strategic planning backbone for one of Amazon Japan's most dynamic delivery programs. We're redefining how EasyShip builds, standardizes, and scales First Mile operations to deliver exceptional experiences at scale. Our team works at the intersection of routing science, operational execution, and business strategy—deciding how routes are built, trucks utilized, network costs managed, and new sellers onboarded.

We foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, where analytical problem-solving meets hands-on execution. You'll collaborate with transportation specialists, supply chain experts, and seller services teams who are equally committed to operational excellence and customer impact. As EasyShip continues to expand into new categories and geographies, our team is positioned at the forefront of shaping the future of seller logistics in Japan.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
