The posting

The Quality Specialist will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food safety, product quality, freshness, and compliance across Amazon Now’s Fresh business. The role will work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to monitor quality standards, drive compliance, identify and resolve quality issues, and implement corrective actions. The Quality Specialist will also support quality audits, develop and maintain quality processes and SOPs, monitor key quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement to safeguard product integrity, minimize defects and waste, and deliver a consistent and trusted customer experience.

Key job responsibilities - Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with Amazon and applicable food safety and quality standards. - Support food safety and quality audits, address non-conformities, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions. - Coordinate with relevant regulatory and internal stakeholders during inspections and maintain accurate compliance documentation. - Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and customer complaints, ensuring effective corrective and preventive measures are implemented. - Train internal teams and operational stakeholders on hygiene, food handling, quality standards, and relevant procedures. - Monitor vendor quality performance and collaborate with suppliers to improve compliance, consistency, and overall quality standards. - Monitor quality trends and market requirements to ensure products consistently meet applicable safety, quality, and customer expectations. - Prepare and maintain accurate quality records, reports, and performance trackers using Microsoft Excel and Word. - Conduct supplier visits, audits, and quality assessments as required.

- 3+ years of managing food safety and quality in a large-scale retail or manufacturing environment experience - Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data - Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership, or experience in an operational role - Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Quality Management, or a related field. - Strong knowledge of food safety principles, quality standards, HACCP, and applicable regulatory requirements. - Experience conducting quality inspections, audits, and managing non-conformities and corrective actions.

- Experience working with vendors or partners - Experience in working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies - Experience with ISO 22000 or other recognized food safety and quality management systems. - Experience in e-commerce, retail, grocery, or fast-paced food operations.
