The posting

The GREF Workplace Support Technology team, part of Finance Automation, develops services, products, and tools to enable Amazon's corporate real estate team to build and operate the company's global facilities in more than 60 countries, which is the largest corporate real estate footprint in the world. We builds the software that keeps Amazon's global workplaces running — from the helpdesk chat and ticketing systems employees use to report issues, to the automation that routes and resolves millions of facilities work orders behind the scenes. As an SDE II, you'll own services end to end across our Amazon Connect, AI-assisted triage, and work-order integration stack, shipping features that thousands of employees and facilities agents depend on every day.

We are seeking a passionate software development engineer who can help us create the next generation of real estate systems and support the GREF organization.

As a software development engineer in the team, you will get to collaborate with product managers, senior and peer-level software engineers across Finance Automation organization. This role provides you with autonomy and ownership on decisions, working backwards directly from customers. There is ample opportunity for growth due to the high visibility work and presence of senior engineering talent for guidance and mentorship.

Key job responsibilities - Design and implement scalable service architectures that power AI-driven policy guidance, intelligent booking, and automated expense workflows for a global user base. - Deliver working features across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operations. - Collaborate with product managers, applied scientists, and engineers across Finance Automation and partner organizations to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions. - Coach teammates through code reviews and design discussions, raising the quality bar for the team's software and establishing shared engineering best practices. - Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues while continuously improving system reliability and maintainability.

About the team The Workplace Support Tech team sits within FinAuto Global Real Estate & Facilities and is on a multi-year mission to transform how Amazon employees get help with their physical workplace worldwide — from reporting a facilities issue to getting it resolved. We build the helpdesk, intelligent ticket-routing, and work-order automation that keep Amazon's buildings running, backed by Amazon Connect agent tooling and AI-assisted resolution. If you want to build products at global scale that make a tangible difference in how people work, we would love to hear from you.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
