The posting

Are you excited by how AI agents are changing the way customers shop? Do you want to help build the tools that let developers and AI agents create Amazon's shopping experiences, and the platform that brings those experiences to every surface where customers meet an agent?

Our team builds the experience orchestration platform behind the Amazon store. It composes independently owned experiences into complete pages at Amazon scale and powers experiences such as Amazon Detail Page across web and app. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join a new team in Vancouver that owns agentic CX and experience orchestration authoring. The team builds the authoring interfaces and toolchain that builders and AI agents use to create shopping experiences. This includes a typed, schema-generated construct library, the build pipeline that validates and synthesizes what authors write, and the evals that measure how well agents author against it.

You are the ideal candidate if you love building developer tools, are curious about how AI agents write and reason about code, and want to grow on a greenfield team where your work shapes the platform from day one. You write clean, well-tested code, learn quickly, and enjoy working through ambiguous problems with your teammates.

Key job responsibilities

- Design, build, test, and maintain features for the authoring library, including generating constructs from the platform's schema and building higher-level abstractions for common layout patterns. - Build and improve the build pipeline that validates and synthesizes authored layouts, including conformance tests that keep authored output consistent with how the platform runs it. - Contribute to evaluation pipelines that score agent-generated output against known-good results, and use the results to improve the authoring experience for AI agents. - Improve developer experience through linting, IDE and build integrations, documentation, and examples that help builders and AI assistants succeed. - Use AI-native development practices day to day, and help the team adopt new tools and workflows. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and operational support for the systems the team owns. - Partner with senior engineers and partner teams to turn prototypes into production capabilities.

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of full stack development experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
