The posting

Own a core part of Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) for Amazon's fastest-growing and most strategic marketplaces — from emerging international markets to the future of FBA in Europe. International FBA builds the software that lets third-party (3P) sellers send inventory into Amazon's network, keep it in stock, and fulfill orders, and we're hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a high-impact engineering charter end to end.

Key job responsibilities Own the vision, multi-year roadmap, and quarterly execution for the engineering charter, translating seller and business goals into a clear, prioritized delivery plan. Lead, coach, and grow a team of software engineers — owning hiring, performance management, and career development, and building a strong bench of technical leaders. Drive the architecture and design of high-scale, low-latency, highly available distributed systems, making sound technical and build-vs-adopt decisions. Build Generative AI (GenAI) solutions and conversational assistants that simplify complex, multi-step seller workflows into guided experiences. Own operational excellence — availability, latency, and correctness — for services with direct seller and business impact; strengthen on-call, reduce operational load, and drive issues to root-cause resolution. Manage region-specific complexity across diverse international marketplaces, including local compliance, tax, and capacity requirements. Partner across Product, Applied Science, Operations, Compliance, and worldwide (WW) FBA teams to align on shared roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and deliver end to end. Represent your area in leadership, business, and operational reviews; communicate crisply in writing (narrative style) and in person to both technical and business audiences. Set and uphold a high bar for engineering quality, security, and best practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

A day in the life You start the morning by scanning your team's operational dashboards and any overnight on-call activity — checking the health of the seller-facing systems you own and making sure nothing is blocking sellers from getting inventory into Amazon. You join your team's daily standup, unblock engineers, and dive into a design review for a new Generative AI (GenAI) conversational assistant feature that will help sellers manage their inventory.

Midday, you meet with your Product and Applied Science partners to align on the quarterly roadmap and prioritize the next set of deliverables — balancing near-term seller impact against longer-term bets like the Europe FBA transformation. You spend focused time writing or reviewing a technical narrative, and you have a career-development one-on-one with one of your engineers.

In the afternoon, you make a key architecture decision on a high-scale service, review a peer's design document, and represent your area in a business review with leadership. You close the day by clearing code reviews, responding to your team, and jotting down priorities for tomorrow. Throughout, you're operating as both a builder and a leader — setting technical direction, growing your people, and delivering measurable impact for sellers across International FBA's marketplaces.

About the team International FBA builds the seller-facing software behind Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) across two strategic frontiers. In Emerging Markets — India, UAE, KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Egypt, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, Australia, and South Africa — we own the end-to-end seller journey, building region-specific architecture where local law and network economics demand it, and pioneering Generative AI (GenAI) assistants that make selling on Amazon radically simpler.

In Europe, we're reinventing FBA itself: transforming a fragmented, country-by-country operation into a single, unified European supply chain (the "One EU" vision) — one shipment, one inventory pool, one set of controls — so sellers reach the whole continent effortlessly.

We're a team of builders who care equally about seller experience and engineering excellence. We work across product, science, and operations, own our systems end to end, and take real ownership of outcomes that move Amazon's international business forward.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
