To get there, the Global Engineering Services Launch (Launch) team needs exceptionally talented, bright, innovative and driven leaders. The key to this mission is strategic, large scale project management initiatives that will allow us to scale our organization for the future in an extraordinary manner.

The Launch team is seeking a qualified candidate to solve the complex challenges of progressive innovation to drive efficiencies at operational benchmark rates. We are looking for a customer-obsessed Program Manager with proven program management experience and a strong track record of delivering results to own and execute highly strategic launches, in addition to driving multiple complex projects across one or more programs. Key job responsibilities A leader in this role-- - Gains trust and consistently delivers results; - Is results driven, hard-working, and a creative person who loves solving challenging problems; - Works backwards from the customer to scope and define program requirements and critical milestones; - Can effectively navigate ambiguous situations without heavily relying on direct support from their leader; - Is able to demonstrate a high level of ownership to drive multiple time sensitive actions items simultaneously through multiple business groups; - Is able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines whilst maintaining a customer focus; - Is comfortable collaborating and influencing team members, working with development teams and other business groups, and presenting projects to senior leadership on a regular basis; - Has the ability to partner to build and execute on new initiatives and roadmaps each year; - Optimizes cross-team processes that improve team efficacy and delivery; - Has the technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate directly with technical teams; - Takes ownership and accountability for programs, while maintaining the ability to ask for help, and escalate issues and problems as necessary to keep programs on track; - Is comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and operating in a rapidly evolving and changing landscape; - Is willing to drive into the details and leverage high judgment and gut instinct; - Communicates effectively to all stakeholders related to a launch or program/project. - Are you deeply curious to learn local and international cultures, languages, engineering standards, vendor and business environments in 20 countries and 5 continents? This role involves traveling up to 50%.

A day in the life - Effectively managing the Road to Launch process, which ultimately allows for a building hand-off that passes operational readiness testing and sets the operations team up for success; - Managing day-to-day relationships with multiple Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Sort Centers (SCs), and Delivery Stations (AMZL); - Coordinating GES and Operations stakeholders to exceed Amazon standards for the launch of new sites or expansions of existing buildings in order to achieve operational success; - Deep diving existing processes to identify defects or opportunities for process improvements; - Compiling, managing, and reporting on weekly project metrics; - Driving multiple projects to optimize, standardize, and/or improve processes within and outside of launch.

- Bachelor's degree - Experience in program or project management - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Speak, write, and read fluently in English

- Experience in driving process and tool improvements - Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field - Speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or equivalent field - Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls - French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications
