The posting

Join the Books org and lead product development for our Payment and Purchase Experience charter. We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager - Technical to help create the most trusted and delightful end-to-end purchase and payments CX for Books customers world-wide. You will develop the strategy and vision for this charter and collaborate with an engineering team to oversee the development of related products and features.

Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate is highly analytical, demonstrates strong judgment, can work effectively across a matrix organization, and has a proven history of creating delightful customer experiences and delivering results. Experience in the payments and ordering space is a plus.

A day in the life • Product Vision and Ownership: End-to-end accountability; leads strategy, value proposition, game-changing ideas, evolution. Focuses on customer delight. Ensures we're focused on the right metrics for the business. • Customer: What problem are we solving? How can we add more value for customers? Where can we invent? • Product Development/Roadmap: Defines functional, user experience, legal and other business requirements. Manages feature prioritization; helps engineering, operations, and creative make the right CX trade-offs. • Compliance headwinds: Adeptly navigates urgent compliance requirements, defines goals, and brings them to fruition through collaboration with tech, legal, and local partners.

About the team The mission of the Books Customer Value org is to maximize customers’ return on money, time, and energy spent acquiring Books and empower them to read more. We do so by obsessing over value to ensure sharp pricing, making acquiring a book seamless and secure, and providing tools to build a reading habit.

- Bachelor's degree - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product - Experience managing technical products or online services - Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight - Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
