The posting

▪ Deliver end-to-end design solutions for attendee workflows in the AWS Events Mobile App, from research synthesis through interactive prototypes. Present multiple options and state the benefits and trade-offs of each, so product and engineering can make an informed decision.

▪ Partner with engineering, product management, and program management to ship features on a fixed event calendar, using a customer-focused, iterative design process. Work closely with mobile engineers to build the capabilities and constraints of the platform (iOS, Android, and the backend services behind them) into your designs. Design for launch dates that do not move, such as re:Invent, and make scope trade-offs visible early.

▪ Design for AI-assisted attendee experiences, starting with Concierge, where a bad pattern repeats across every attendee at an event. When the system recommends sessions, builds a schedule, or answers a question, the attendee needs to understand what it did and what to do next. Be honest about confidence, show where an answer came from, and give attendees a clear way to correct, override, or ignore a suggestion. You design the trust layer between a probabilistic system and a person with a packed agenda and limited time. Low-confidence states, empty or wrong results, and failure modes are first-class design problems, not afterthoughts.

▪ Determine the best UX solutions from attendee feedback, in-app signals, and business goals. Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data (usage analytics, survey and feedback data, session and schedule behavior) to inform design decisions at the feature and product level. Help define how we collect feedback inside the app, and use it to prioritize the roadmap, including work like the Calendar CX revamp.

▪ Use strong storytelling and presentation skills to communicate design strategy, outcomes, and deliverables to partners and stakeholders, including leadership. Present and critique work in cross-team reviews to improve your own work and share knowledge that improves the work of others.

▪ Improve design patterns, standards, methods, and processes for the team. Use and extend established UX techniques, templates, and assets, and propose new ones where they save time. Build reusable components and artifacts so the mobile app and Concierge web experience stay consistent across team members, projects, and events.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
