Basic qualifications

  • Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in managing global trade compliance, import export controls for highly sensitive technology.
  • 5+ years of experience managing relationships with customs brokers, managing regular customs processes for import and export with support from customs brokers or similar third-party service providers.
  • Deep knowledge of customs regulations and practices in APAC countries including HTS classification, customs valuation and rules of origin.
  • Experience managing partner government agency requirements for the import of telecommunication technology and equipment.
  • Knowledge of export control regulations such as ITAR, FTR, EAR and similar regulations across APAC countries.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field or professional certification (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist)
  • Experience managing customs compliance operations in aerospace, semiconductor or telecommunications industries.
  • Proficiency in Chinese/ Mandarin or other regional languages.
