The posting

Our client is a well-established organization undergoing a significant business transformation journey and is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager, Transformation PMO & Business Innovation to play a pivotal role in driving strategic change across the enterprise.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation, this individual will oversee the transformation portfolio, strengthen governance frameworks, drive business process optimization, and identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and digital technologies to improve operational effectiveness and business outcomes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders across business, technology, operations, finance, risk, compliance, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Transformation Portfolio & PMO Leadership

  • Manage the organization's transformation portfolio, roadmap, and initiative prioritization framework.
  • Establish and continuously improve PMO governance, project methodologies, reporting standards, and controls.
  • Coordinate governance forums, steering committees, and executive reporting.
  • Monitor programme performance, budgets, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
  • Drive stage-gate governance and support investment decision-making across transformation initiatives.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on portfolio priorities based on business value, feasibility, and organizational objectives.

Project Governance & Delivery Oversight

  • Support the successful delivery of enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to project managers and business analysts.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure consistent project delivery practices, governance compliance, and lessons-learned adoption.
  • Drive accountability for achieving programme milestones and business outcomes.

Business Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Partner with business leaders to identify process improvement and operational efficiency opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops to assess current-state processes and develop future-state solutions.
  • Lead business process re-engineering, workflow redesign, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Define and track operational performance metrics and productivity improvements.
  • Support the implementation of new operating models and ways of working.

AI, Automation & Digital Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, Generative AI, automation, and digital technologies across business functions.
  • Build and maintain an innovation pipeline and portfolio of transformation opportunities.
  • Lead proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives involving AI, automation, analytics, and workflow technologies.
  • Assess business cases, implementation feasibility, governance requirements, and expected benefits.
  • Support adoption of technologies including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, Copilot Studio, and related productivity platforms.
  • Promote responsible AI adoption, governance, and risk management practices.

Benefits Realization & Value Management

  • Develop business cases, financial models, ROI assessments, and investment justification plans.
  • Define KPIs, success measures, and benefits realization frameworks.
  • Track transformation outcomes against approved targets and business objectives.
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to validate realized benefits and organisational impact.
  • Produce portfolio dashboards and executive-level reporting.

Stakeholder & Change Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business and technology teams.
  • Support change management, communication, training, and adoption activities.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and organizational readiness.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with consulting partners, technology vendors, and service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance, contractual obligations, and delivery commitments.
  • Support budget planning, procurement activities, and resource management.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and long-term capability development.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

  • Approximately 8-12 years' experience in PMO leadership, business transformation, programme management, digital transformation, or technology delivery.
  • Proven track record establishing and managing enterprise PMO and portfolio governance frameworks.
  • Experience overseeing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously within complex organizations.
  • Strong background in business transformation, process improvement, and operational excellence programme.
  • Exposure to AI, automation, workflow digitization, or innovation-focused initiatives.
  • Experience managing budgets, business cases, benefits tracking, and financial performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated success engaging senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Prior exposure to insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries is advantageous.
