The posting

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world’s most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future.

Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a leader to drive strategic business development for our Enterprise Server business, focused on partnerships with ISVs and end-customers within the Industrials, Robotics & Automation industries. This role will lead efforts to deliver growth across the AMD portfolio, inclusive of EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs for Enterprise IT deployments as well as next generation Enterprise AI opportunities. This leader will be responsible for the overall vertical strategy, cultivating strategic ISV partnerships, driving competitive positioning, development of the industry value prop, and driving go-to-market as well as leading our sales and marketing teams to grow pipeline and drive growth.

THE PERSON

We'd like to meet if this sounds like you:

  • Strong drive to "win," paired with sound business judgment
  • Confidence, maturity, and integrity, with the presence to work effectively at all levels
  • Open, honest communicator — trustworthy with customers, colleagues, and partners
  • Ability to listen to customers and articulate their needs internally
  • Experience scoping and delivering HW+SW solutions to Industrials, Robotics & Automation and/or Industry verticals for Enterprise customers
  • Proven track record of strategy, planning, and executing against a strategic vision

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and implement strategies to grow AMD's server business in the Industrials, Robotics & Automation industry through a solutions-based approach spanning CPU, GPU, and SW.
  • Conduct competitive, market, and partner capability assessments to shape actionable vertical expansion plans, and build the frameworks (market analysis, vendor evaluation, business case, partnership execution) that support them.
  • Build and convert the Industrials, Robotics & Automation pipeline through deep partnerships with industry companies, SW vendors (e.g., Siemens, Dassault, Synopsys-Ansys, ABB, Rockwell Automation, etc.), and ecosystem partners (GSIs, Channel partners, etc.).
  • Develop solution sets tied to key AI, HPC and Edge workloads (Production Optimization, SLAM, Machine Vision/Inspection, Factory Digital Twins, Physical AI Model Training, etc.), with joint value propositions and go-to-market plans to accelerate growth.
  • Lead development of vertical-specific AI solutions in collaboration with ecosystem partners.
  • Incubate POCs and pilots by orchestrating product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams, converting them into scalable, repeatable offers with reference architectures and supporting collateral.
  • Partner with HW OEMs, Hyperscalers and CSPs and GSIs to converge on solutions addressing end-customer needs across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid deployments.
  • Enable sales and marketing with targeted plays, collateral, and training; build cross-sales relationships to drive a unified approach in key Industrials, Robotics & Automation accounts.
  • Translate customer challenges into compelling value propositions that connect chip-level technology to system-level solutions.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and AMD's SME on the Industrials, Robotics & Automation industry.
  • Represent AMD at key industry events (e.g., Super Computing, Hannover Messe, Automate, etc.); deliver compelling narratives, demos, and win stories; and build advocacy with analysts, ecosystem partners, and standards groups.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10 years of progressive datacenter experience, with a strong record across key verticals.
  • Strong historical relationships and engagement within the automotive and aerospace industries.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology adoption and vertical-specific business models.
  • Able to operate effectively in fast-moving, cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML stacks, enterprise software, and industry-specific digital transformation is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computational Sciences preferred. MBA is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
