ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world’s most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future.

Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.

THE ROLE

AMD is seeking a Senior Commercial Sales Account Executive – South Korea Enterprise Acquisition to join the Commercial Sales organization, based in Seoul. This is a senior, customer-facing hunter role responsible for winning new logos and opening strategic Acquisition accounts across South Korea’s enterprise market, including digital platforms, AI start-ups and NeoClouds, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and other large enterprises where AMD has little or no data center footprint today.

The role spans server and data center (AMD EPYC™ processors), AI acceleration and GPU solutions (AMD Instinct™ accelerators and AMD ROCm™ software), networking, and commercial client (AMD Ryzen™ PRO). The Account Executive owns the end-to-end acquisition strategy for assigned accounts: from first executive engagement and architecture influence, through proof of concept (PoC) and total cost of ownership (TCO) validation, to the first design win, OEM/ODM-fulfilled purchase order, and a clean hand-off into the Development motion.

Success requires close collaboration with AMD’s Field Application Engineers (FAEs), Business Units, Marketing, Channel and Finance teams, and with Korea’s OEM, ODM, systems integrator (SI), cloud service provider (CSP) and channel ecosystem. This is a Korea-based role requiring frequent in-person engagement with customers and partners.

THE PERSON

You are a senior enterprise sales professional with a proven record of opening new accounts and winning competitive, multi-stakeholder data center and infrastructure deals. You are credible with CxO, infrastructure and AI/platform leaders and with technical architects, and you can connect customer business outcomes—AI competitiveness, performance per watt and per dollar, cost efficiency, supply assurance and ecosystem openness—to AMD CPU, GPU and networking platforms.

You are comfortable with long, partner-led sales cycles and with displacing incumbent suppliers. You lead virtual account squads, influence without authority, and coordinate multi-party engagements across AMD, partners and customers. You are commercially disciplined, resilient and structured in your pipeline, forecast and account-planning practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

New Logo Acquisition & Pipeline Generation

  • Own revenue, bookings, pipeline and forecast for assigned Acquisition accounts in Korea; convert named accounts from cold start to first design win and repeatable revenue.
  • Build and execute named-account acquisition plans, including account maps, decision-making unit (DMU) coverage, executive sponsors and a clear entry point for each account.
  • Generate and qualify pipeline through direct outreach, executive engagement, AMD events, and OEM/ODM, SI and channel co-sell; meet pipeline coverage and conversion targets.

Executive Engagement & Value Selling

  • Engage CxO and senior infrastructure, AI/platform and procurement stakeholders; position AMD as a trusted advisor for data center, AI infrastructure and cloud roadmaps.
  • Lead competitive displacement of incumbent x86, Arm and GPU suppliers with workload-specific TCO and performance cases.
  • Drive PoCs, benchmarks and technical validation with Acquisition TEs and FAEs; secure design wins and executive sign-off.

Partner & Ecosystem Orchestration

  • Align Korea and global OEMs, ODMs, SIs, CSPs, distributors and VARs behind each Acquisition account through joint account plans and co-sell motions.
  • Apply AMD sell-through and sell-out programs, pricing support and market development funds (MDF) in line with AMD policies and approval processes.

Account Squad Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead the virtual account squad (TE, FAE, Marketing, Channel, BU and Finance); coordinate resources, escalations and executive sponsorship for each opportunity.
  • Provide customer and competitive feedback to AMD Business Units and Product teams to inform roadmap, pricing and supply decisions.
  • Transition won accounts into the Development and Retention motions with a documented account plan and install-base view.

Forecasting, Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate customer and partner contacts, account maps, opportunities, install base and forecast in Salesforce (SFDC); deliver forecast accuracy and timely quarterly business reviews.
  • Operate in accordance with AMD’s business conduct standards and applicable export control, anti-corruption, competition and procurement laws, including in dealings with government-linked entities.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • New-logo / hunter sales: Proven success opening and closing new enterprise accounts in Korea, with validated over-achievement of targets. Minimum 6 years of experience.
  • Data center and AI infrastructure: Specialist knowledge of servers, storage, GPU/AI accelerators, networking, cloud services and commercial client PCs.
  • Customer network: Established relationships with executives at Korean enterprises, digital platforms, AI start-ups/NeoClouds, financial services, telecommunications and manufacturing customers.
  • Partner experience: Strong working relationships with OEMs, ODMs, SIs, CSPs and channel partners operating in Korea.
  • Sales methodology and tools: Structured account planning, MEDDIC or equivalent qualification, and rigorous SFDC pipeline and forecast discipline.
  • Organizational experience: Proven effectiveness in a global, cross-matrix environment.
  • Languages: Fluent Korean and professional business English (required for day-to-day customer, partner and global AMD engagement).

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
