ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world’s most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future.

Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.

THE ROLE:

AMD's Technology Validation team within Foundry Technology Operations develops and characterizes advanced test vehicles that help define the future of AMD products and process technologies. Working at the intersection of design, verification, test, characterization, and product engineering, you will generate critical performance, yield, reliability, and IP assessment data that directly influences technology decisions across AMD. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology before product launch, collaborate with global engineering teams, and gain broad visibility across the semiconductor development lifecycle.

THE PERSON:

You are a naturally curious and hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and transforming data into meaningful insights. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, take ownership of technical problems, and are comfortable working across disciplines to deliver results. Strong analytical thinking, initiative, and a passion for understanding how technologies perform at a deep level will help you succeed in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop verification, characterization, and test strategies for advanced technology test vehicles
  • Create and execute test plans to evaluate performance, yield, reliability, and IP behavior
  • Deliver verification environments, test content, and diagnostic solutions
  • Characterize emerging technologies, interfaces, and chiplet-based architectures
  • Evaluate new fault models, DFT methodologies, and test coverage approaches
  • Analyze experimental data and communicate findings to engineering stakeholders
  • Drive innovation in advanced-node technology assessment and validation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in IC verification, test development, characterization, or product engineering
  • Knowledge of structural test methodologies including ATPG, Scan, MBIST, or BIST
  • Exposure to Synopsys VCS, Advantest V93K, or similar verification and test platforms
  • Understanding of high-speed interfaces such as UCIe, PCIe, SerDes, or die-to-die interconnects
  • Experience analyzing silicon data and driving data-based technical decisions
  • Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX environments and scripting languages
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in cross-functional teams

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
