THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a passionate and technically driven Vitis Technical Marketing Engineer to join our Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group. In this role, you will help enable developers and customers to successfully adopt AMD adaptive computing platforms and Vitis™ software tools by creating compelling technical content, validating workflows, and showcasing innovative solutions.

You will work closely with engineering, product management, field application engineers, and customers to understand real-world challenges and translate them into impactful demonstrations, tutorials, reference designs, and training materials. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on development with technical storytelling while gaining exposure to FPGA technologies, embedded systems, heterogeneous computing, and AI-driven workloads.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and thrives in a collaborative environment where innovation and continuous learning are encouraged.

THE PERSON:

You are technically curious, hands-on, and enthusiastic about learning new technologies. You enjoy exploring how hardware and software work together and are motivated by solving challenging technical problems.

You are a strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences, from developers and engineers to customers and partners. You are proactive, collaborative, and adaptable, with a passion for creating engaging technical content and helping others successfully adopt new technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support technical marketing and developer enablement initiatives for AMD Vitis software tools and adaptive computing platforms.
  • Develop and maintain technical content, including tutorials, application examples, demonstrations, presentations, blogs, and training materials.
  • Evaluate, validate, and optimize Vitis workflows and reference designs through hands-on development and testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and field teams to gather customer requirements, use cases, and technical feedback.
  • Support customer engagements, workshops, training sessions, conferences, and technical demonstrations.
  • Contribute to developer-facing resources that improve onboarding and adoption of AMD technologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to FPGA development, embedded systems, heterogeneous computing, and software acceleration.

Success in the Role:

Within the first 3 months, you will:

  • Become proficient with AMD adaptive computing platforms and Vitis development tools.
  • Learn key customer use cases and existing technical marketing assets.
  • Contribute updates and enhancements to technical content and demonstrations.

Within the first 6 months, you will:

  • Independently develop technical collateral, tutorials, and demonstration environments.
  • Validate and improve Vitis workflows and reference designs.
  • Begin supporting customer-facing workshops and technical engagements.

Within the first year, you will:

  • Drive technical enablement initiatives that support customer adoption and developer success.
  • Become a trusted technical resource across product, engineering, and field teams.
  • Influence future content, workflow improvements, and technical marketing strategies based on market and customer feedback.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on experience with FPGA development and RTL design using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL through academic projects, internships, research, or industry experience.
  • Familiarity with FPGA development tools, design flows, and debugging methodologies.
  • Exposure to AMD adaptive computing devices and development tools is preferred.
  • Experience with C/C++, Python, Linux, or embedded software development.
  • Familiarity with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) methodologies and tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of embedded systems, heterogeneous computing architectures, or hardware acceleration concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated interest in developer tools, technical marketing, developer advocacy, or customer-facing engineering activities.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
