Senior AI Solutions Engineer / AI Solutions Architect — Digital Banking

Location: Yerevan, Armenia (Hybrid / On-site)

About the Role

AMIO Bank is seeking a technically strong Senior AI Solutions Engineer / AI Solutions Architect to identify, design, validate, and implement production-ready AI solutions across our digital products and internal operations.

This is a high-impact role bridging business strategy, system architecture, and hands-on software development. You will guide AI initiatives through the entire delivery lifecycle: evaluating business feasibility, building PoCs, designing scalable architecture, ensuring information security, and integrating solutions into live core banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business challenges across banking units and identify high-value, practical AI and ML use cases.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine whether AI/LLMs are the appropriate technical solution for specific business problems.
  • Design end-to-end AI architectures, defining clear specifications for modern GenAI models, RAG systems, AI agents, and custom APIs.
  • Build hands-on prototypes and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), leading their path into robust production environments.
  • Define and integrate AI microservices with internal core banking systems, digital channels, and enterprise databases.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to evaluate hallucination risks, data leakage, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish evaluation metrics to measure model accuracy, response reliability, latency, and drift post-launch.
  • Implement ongoing monitoring tools for production AI models and agentic workflows.
  • Vendor & Platform Evaluation: Evaluate external AI platforms, proprietary LLMs, open-source models, and third-party vendors to optimize cost, latency, and performance.
  • Serve as the bridge between technical engineering teams and non-technical business leaders.
  • Educate product managers and business stakeholders on realistic AI capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Help establish bank-wide standards for responsible, secure, and ethical AI deployment.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • 4+ years of experience software engineering with at least 2+ years focused on production-level AI/ML systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, REST/gRPC API integration, and standard ML frameworks.
  • Deep practical expertise with LLM orchestration, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and building autonomous AI agents/skills within OpenAI or Claude ecosystems.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning fundamentals, predictive analytics, data modeling, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus, or PGVector).
  • Demonstrated experience deploying containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) and managing CI/CD pipelines for AI services.
  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs between custom fine-tuning, RAG, prompt optimization, and off-the-shelf APIs based on cost, latency, and risk.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Fintech environments.
  • Deep understanding of banking security standards, data masking, ISO requirements, and financial regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of quantitative customer analytics, next-best-action models, or predictive credit scoring
