We are driven by innovative, empowered, and creative teamwork, and build solutions that solve business challenges.   Headquartered in Endicott, NY, and with operations in China and Mexico, AIPC is a division of Amphenol Corporation, a Fortune 500 company with over 90 years of experience in enabling the ongoing electronics revolution.   We are currently seeking a motivated and technically minded candidate for the position of Junior Network Administrator, located in Endicott, NY.  The Junior Network Administrator will support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the organization’s network, server, and IT infrastructure. Working under the guidance of an experienced IT team, this position will assist with network administration, Microsoft-based systems, user support, equipment purchasing, and routine maintenance activities.   This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong foundation in information technology and networking who is interested in developing their skills and growing into a broader network and systems administration role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of network and server infrastructure under the direction of experienced IT personnel. Support Active Directory, file services, print services, and other Microsoft technologies. Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including user accounts, licensing, permissions, and access management. Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN connections, and related equipment. Monitor network and system performance and escalate issues requiring additional technical expertise. Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, patching, and equipment upgrades under established procedures and guidance. Assist with creating, modifying, and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies. Troubleshoot and resolve routine network, server, workstation, and connectivity issues; escalate complex or unfamiliar issues as appropriate. Assist with system backups and recovery procedures and develop an understanding of the organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity processes. Maintain accurate network and system documentation, equipment inventories, configurations, and procedures. Assist with equipment installations, replacements, technology deployments, and infrastructure projects. Work with vendors and technology partners as directed to assist with service issues and infrastructure support. Provide technical assistance and basic training to end users as needed. Document troubleshooting activities, solutions, and system changes. Participate in after-hours maintenance activities and rotational on-call support as required. Continue developing technical knowledge through hands-on training, coursework, certifications, and other professional development opportunities. Understand and follow applicable company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

  QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 2+ years of experience in network and systems administration. Experience supporting Microsoft-based environments. Working knowledge of: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP, Microsoft, TCP/IP networking, Ethernet and wireless networking technologies, Network switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies. Hands-on experience troubleshooting network, server, and workstation issues. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications. Experience with virtualization technologies. Experience with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
