The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

The Venue Application Systems Administrator supports the administration, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing operation of technology systems used across hospitality, food and beverage, retail, ticketing, venue operations, special events, and guest experience. This role is responsible for user roles and permissions, system configuration, vendor support cases, quarterly vendor reviews, and maintaining applications on current, supported technology versions.

The position serves as the designated technical owner for configuration and access across venue and hospitality platforms, including 24/7 Software, Momentus Elite, Simphony, and other applicable systems.

The role partners with internal business teams, IT team members, vendors, and other technology partners to support application access, configuration, testing, issue resolution, system updates, and operational readiness. The Venue Application Systems Administrator also supports new system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and technology readiness for new venues and business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support venue and hospitality applications, including designing and maintaining role-based access models aligned with job responsibilities and least-privilege principles and updating them as roles and organizational structures change
  • Safeguarding administrative credentials and operating within established segregation-of-duties requirements between configuration and approval
  • Maintain application configurations, user accounts, permissions, system settings, and other administrative functions in accordance with established standards
  • Monitor application performance and availability and assist with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues
  • Serve as a point of contact for application-related support requests from venue and business teams
  • Coordinate with software vendors and internal IT teams to escalate and resolve application issues
  • Track vendor release calendars and end-of-support timelines and maintain visibility into upcoming technology changes affecting the venue application environment
  • Assess the impact of releases and upgrades on configurations, integrations, devices, and users, and coordinate implementation timing with the business
  • Perform pre-event system checks and assist with troubleshooting application issues during events and other high-volume operating periods
  • Maintain application documentation, configuration records, support procedures, user guides, event-day runbooks, and troubleshooting materials
  • Support the implementation and rollout of new applications, functionality, venues, hospitality concepts, and operational technology
  • Assist with system setup, testing, training, cutover activities, go-live support, and post-implementation stabilization
  • Partner with the Business Analyst on new builds and translate approved business requirements into system configuration
  • Track incidents, recurring issues, enhancement requests, and application support activities and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Maintain appropriate security, access, change-management, and documentation practices for supported applications
  • Train and support operational super-users on day-to-day platform administration functions
  • Participate in evening, weekend, holiday, event-day, and after-hours support as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience supporting business applications, venue technology, hospitality technology, enterprise applications, or related systems
  • Experience administering or supporting POS, ticketing, hospitality, event management, retail, or other operational applications preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting application issues and working with software vendors and internal technology teams
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, testing, or application releases preferred
  • Experience working in sports, entertainment, hospitality, food and beverage, retail, or other event-driven environments preferred
  • Working knowledge of application administration, configuration, access management, and support practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of application testing, change management, and system implementation processes
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate system configurations and documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to learn and support multiple applications and related business processes
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve application issues or appropriately escalate issues for resolution
  • Ability to work independently while following established technology standards and processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Flexibility to provide evening, weekend, holiday, event-day, and after-hours support as needed

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
