About the Role

The Instrumentation System Solutions team develops advanced solutions for electronic test and measurement and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) applications using Analog Devices' industry-leading technologies.

We are seeking an enthusiastic engineer with a strong foundation in RF, high-speed electronics, and system-level problem solving to help develop next-generation instrumentation platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced hardware, software, FPGA, and systems engineers to design, prototype, and validate innovative solutions that solve real-world customer challenges.

This position is ideal for candidates with an M.S. degree or early-career industry experience in RF, wireless communications, instrumentation, high-speed electronics, or related fields who are looking to grow their expertise in complex instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and validation of instrumentation solutions for test and measurement applications.
  • Perform RF and high-speed signal chain analysis, simulation, and performance evaluation.
  • Design and characterize proof-of-concept systems and reference designs using ADI products.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and data analysis to validate system performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system-level challenges through simulation, modeling, and hands-on experimentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and develop innovative system solutions.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, application notes, demonstration platforms, and customer-facing collateral.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Coursework, internship, research, or industry experience in RF, wireless communications, instrumentation, high-speed electronics, or related areas.
  • Knowledge of high-speed, RF, and/or mmWave systems and familiarity with system-level design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Keysight ADS, or SystemVue.
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree with a concentration in RF, microwave engineering, communications systems, or signal processing.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, or vector network analyzers.
  • Experience gained through graduate research, internships, co-ops, or industry roles involving RF or high-speed systems.
  • Exposure to instrumentation, automated test equipment (ATE), FPGA-based systems, DSP, or mixed-signal hardware.
  • Familiarity with signal chain analysis and system performance tradeoff evaluation.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a passion for learning new technologies.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
