Cloud Strategy & Solutions Architect

Cloud Transformation | FinOps | Multi-Cloud | AI & Intelligent Automation

Role Summary

Lead enterprise cloud transformation initiatives across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments, driving strategy, architecture, modernization, FinOps, and AI adoption for large global organizations.

This role combines strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise, requiring the ability to define transformation roadmaps, build business cases, identify growth and optimization opportunities, establish governance models, and architect scalable cloud solutions while remaining actively engaged in technical design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Strategy & Transformation

  • Define and execute enterprise cloud transformation strategies and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Lead cloud modernization, migration, optimization, and platform adoption initiatives.
  • Establish cloud operating models, governance frameworks, architecture standards, and best practices.
  • Define business outcomes, KPIs, ROI measures, and value realization frameworks.
  • Drive cloud maturity improvements aligned with business and technology objectives.

Innovation & Business Value

  • Identify and develop strategic cloud, AI, automation, and platform initiatives that improve business outcomes, customer experience, employee productivity, operational efficiency, and organizational agility.
  • Build executive business cases, transformation plans, and investment strategies aligned to enterprise goals.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Partner with C-Level Leadership, Enterprise Architecture tea, and business executives to identify new opportunities and transformation initiatives.
  • Present strategic recommendations, business value realization plans, and transformation roadmaps to executive leadership and Steering Committees.

FinOps & Value Optimization

  • Define and implement enterprise FinOps strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Drive cloud financial management, forecasting, budgeting, cost transparency, and accountability.
  • Identify optimization opportunities across cloud platforms, infrastructure, applications, operations, processes, and technology investments.
  • Establish measurement frameworks to track business value, financial performance, operational efficiency, adoption, and transformation outcomes.

AI & Intelligent Automation Strategy

  • Define enterprise AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI strategies and adoption roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, scalability, service delivery, and decision-making through automation, intelligent workflows, and autonomous capabilities.
  • Establish governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI frameworks.
  • Define KPIs and value realization models to measure business impact, adoption, efficiency gains, and return on investment.

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership (50% Hands-On)

  • Lead architecture and technical direction for strategic cloud transformation and modernization programs.
  • Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective multi-cloud solutions.
  • Provide hands-on architecture leadership across cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, automation, networking, security, observability, and AI-enabled platforms.
  • Develop reference architectures, technology standards, solution blueprints, and implementation patterns.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical governance, engineering enablement, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

Platform Engineering & Automation

  • Establish self-service cloud and platform capabilities for application and engineering teams.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code, platform engineering, automation, DevSecOps, and operational excellence practices.
  • Improve developer experience, deployment velocity, platform consistency, and engineering productivity through standardization and automation.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
  • Lead Cloud Governance Boards, Architecture Review Committees, and Transformation Steering Committees.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable technology roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Influence executive decision-making through data-driven recommendations, business cases, and value realization insights.
  • Mentor architects, cloud engineers, platform engineers, and technical leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Digital Transformation.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise cloud transformation, modernization, and optimization programs.
  • Strong expertise across Azure, AWS, GCP, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience defining cloud strategy, operating models, governance frameworks, architecture standards, and FinOps practices.
  • Hands-on expertise in cloud architecture, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevSecOps, security, networking, observability, and platform engineering.
  • Experience developing executive business cases, KPIs, ROI models, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to engage and present to CIO, CTO, CFO, CDO, and executive leadership teams.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and consulting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading Fortune 100 or large-scale global cloud transformation programs.
  • Experience establishing enterprise FinOps operating models and cloud value optimization frameworks.
  • Experience defining AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI adoption strategies.
  • Knowledge of Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, and enterprise AI platforms.
  • Cloud, Kubernetes, FinOps, Enterprise Architecture, or Security certifications.
