ABOUT THE JOB

As Anduril continues to grow and tackle complex government and defense missions, we are seeking a dedicated Crisis Management Lead within our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) organization. This role will be instrumental in supporting the EH&S Crisis Management Manager to enhance our crisis preparedness and response capabilities. You will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional ready to contribute to building a robust crisis management framework focused on immediate safety and operational continuity during emergencies. This position supports the Crisis Management function under the direction of the Crisis Management Manager, and partners with Facilities, Corporate Security, Operations, Engineering, the People Team, and leadership to help reduce risk and improve organizational resilience and safety performance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support Emergency Response Plan Development: Assist in the design, writing, and implementation of comprehensive Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and associated protocols to ensure the organization is prepared for potential emergencies.
  • Contribute to Emergency Action Plans: Support the development and refinement of clear and actionable Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) to guide Anduril personnel during critical events.
  • Facilitate Training and Drills: Aid in the coordination and execution of training sessions and tabletop exercises related to customized crisis scenarios to institutionalize response protocols and promote awareness.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Facilities, Corporate Security, Legal, HR, Operations, and Engineering to ensure cohesive crisis response strategies and plans align with organizational goals.
  • Assist with Crisis Management Support: Support the coordination of responses during critical incidents, helping to minimize confusion and downtime by ensuring adherence to established Crisis Management playbooks, ERPs, and EAPs.
  • Support Risk Assessment: Assist in identifying and analyzing potential risks relevant to emergency scenarios and contribute to mitigation strategies within ERPs.
  • Help Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Support efforts to ensure crisis management practices, particularly ERPs and EAPs, meet applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to Communication Management: Assist in establishing and testing clear communication channels for emergency situations, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination to stakeholders.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the regular review and update of the Crisis Management framework, playbooks, ERPs, and EAPs based on lessons learned from actual incidents and emerging threats.
  • Partner Within EH&S: Coordinate with occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance colleagues so that crisis and emergency plans reflect site-specific hazards and reduce overall risk to the workforce.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Emergency Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in crisis management, emergency preparedness, or a related field focused on incident response.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and contribute to the development of emergency response plans and a proactive mindset toward organizational goals in crisis preparedness and response.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or asylee/refugee, as defined at 22 C.F.R. § 120.15) due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information, technology, and facilities under ITAR/EAR.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with developing and executing Emergency Action Plans.
  • Familiarity with crisis management software and tools.
  • Certifications such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or similar.
  • Exposure to broader EH&S disciplines (occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental compliance) is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
