Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Design & Construction team at Anduril delivers the factories, labs, offices, and secure spaces that enable our teams to design, build, and deploy advanced defense technology. Our projects span high-performance manufacturing facilities, mission-critical secure environments, and collaborative workspaces, giving our team exposure to a uniquely wide variety of technical and operational challenges.

More than just delivering buildings, we are literally rebuilding the American defense industrial base. Our work directly accelerates how quickly critical technology moves from concept to production and into the hands of the warfighter.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Whatever we agree on title to join our rapidly growing team. This position sits within the broader Design & Construction (D&C) team and reports to the Pre-Construction Director. The D&C team is responsible for bringing our various cutting-edge factories, offices, and secure spaces to life. We collaborate with a variety of stakeholders involved in shaping the built environment needed to enable Anduril's mission—construction managers, architects, industrial engineers, real estate planners, finance analysts, and many more. But first and foremost, we deeply listen to what our Division Leaders need. Whether it is autonomous submarines, robot fighter jets, or AR headsets, we stay close to our end users to ensure we're fueling their success. This role is required to balance the requests of these business lines ensuring that need is clearly established and that the product balances the current and future needs of the business at the right cost.

This role is the critical bridge between real estate acquisition and project execution. You will lead the evaluation and recommendation of new sites, shepherd projects through due diligence, and ensure that every facility pursuit is grounded in rigorous feasibility analysis before a single design dollar is spent.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Strategic Real Estate Coordination

  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with Anduril's Strategic Real Estate (SRE) team, acting as the primary point of contact from D&C for project pursuits.
  • Participate in regular weekly portfolio pipeline meetings to maintain visibility across all active and upcoming pursuits.
  • Collaborate closely with D&C team leaders, the space planning team, the security team, and other internal stakeholders to ensure early project visibility, procurement alignment, and coordination.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with internal project managers to discuss project updates, resource allocation, and potential challenges.
  • Provide formal site selection recommendations based on site walks, feasibility analysis, and alignment with programmatic requirements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact related to Design & Construction for all new project pursuits, from initial site identification through project approval.
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure a seamless handoff between the due diligence phase and project execution.
  • Work closely with the business line to define true project need, identifying current program needs and smart investments to be made in flexibility. Create and turnover to assigned project manager an agreed project program document capturing the goals and scope defined during the early stages prior to project approval.
  • Advise during the early phases of any given project: due diligence, programming, design, pre-construction, and estimating support.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management and other key internal stakeholders with clarity and consistency.
  • Work cross-functionally with non-construction functions—including Security, Network Engineering, Facilities Management, Marketing, Kitchen Operations, Manufacturing, EHS, and Legal—to provide early visibility into upcoming projects and surface requirements that influence site selection.

Estimate & Schedule Assessment

  • Develop and manage concept-phase project budgets and schedules in coordination with the D&C pre-construction team.
  • Come to the project with a solution-oriented mindset, providing insight into ‘how’ challenging business plans can be met
  • Work closely with Finance and FP&A to produce concept-phase cash flow forecasts that inform go/no-go decisions.
  • Generate order-of-magnitude cost estimates for prospective sites, incorporating construction, tenant improvement, and infrastructure factors.

Due Diligence Assessment

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal due diligence checklists and frameworks to standardize site evaluation across the portfolio.
  • Lead due diligence site walks, documenting existing conditions, code compliance considerations, environmental constraints, and infrastructure capacity. Integrate key Anduril stakeholder groups as part of the process.
  • Assist with early programming efforts alongside business line stakeholders to define spatial, operational, and technical requirements.
  • Manage the selection, onboarding, and oversight of due diligence A/E consultants, environmental consultants, and other third-party advisors as needed.
  • Evaluate zoning, entitlements, permitting timelines, and jurisdictional requirements for prospective sites.
  • Assess site utility infrastructure (power, water, telecom, gas) and coordinate with local utility providers to confirm capacity and lead times.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in site selection, land development, real estate due diligence, construction management, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting site feasibility analysis, including zoning and entitlements review, environmental assessments, and infrastructure evaluation.
  • Strong background in pre-construction activities: programming, conceptual estimating, and schedule development.
  • Corporate or owner's-representative experience managing internal stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Working knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and ADA/accessibility requirements as they relate to site evaluation.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and structural drawings at a conceptual and schematic level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex site analysis into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits across different geographies.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to support site evaluations, team meetings, and stakeholder coordination.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–10 years of experience working with land development and entitlements.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing, industrial, or mission-critical facility projects.
  • Familiarity with Secure facilities and government construction standards
  • Experience managing environmental due diligence processes (Phase I/II ESAs, NEPA/CEQA reviews).
  • Excel proficiency: you can work quickly, stay organized, and build models that others can easily and intuitively pick up.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or state-specific real estate or engineering licensure.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management platforms.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
