The posting

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril’s Tactical Effects division (TFX) has two missions: 1) build highly capable and reliable autonomous drones, 2) deliver at scale to meet the needs of the warfighter. We transform products like Ghost, Anvil, and Bolt from early concepts into fully operational capabilities by partnering closely with specialist engineering, operations, and production teams.

TFX hires engineers who are passionate about rapid prototyping and scalability to a full-fledged product line. We are excited to build across a diverse and powerful portfolio—from autonomous aerial systems to high-performance imaging payloads and launchers that operate reliably in the most demanding mission environments.

ABOUT THE JOB

Do you like designing things that fly fast, sometimes explode, and make a big (literal and figurative) impact on our world events? We are looking for an Electrical Engineering technical lead and functional manager to join the team! TFX focuses on two product development phases: 1) rapid prototyping and iterative development to enable fast deployment of products in support of defense for the US and our allies, and 2) scaling our products as we mature designs from prototype to fielded products in support of active missions. Our team is growing with new product concept launches, scalability opportunities, and technology development advancements enabled by our rapid prototyping successes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead a technical team through concept to flight delivery for R&D/prototype design with a goal to transition to product line ramp up to production of new drones, rocket motor systems, and more.
  • Guide the team through architecture trades, board design, implementation, troubleshooting and validation, supporting system level integration, flight test, and customer deliveries.
  • Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools.
  • Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
  • Mature the product designs for scale with focus on optimizing manufacturing and scaling designs for mass production
  • Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex embedded systems and products.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and integrating mixed signal circuits.
  • Proficiency with Altium or equivalent ECAD tools.
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Experience working on products used in extreme environments (aerospace, defense, etc.).
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ownership of unit and subsystem level payloads or products.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
  • Product maturation for scalable solutions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Systems engineering and architectural trade experience with payloads or products.
  • Proficiency with embedded software and firmware (C/Linux is a plus).
  • Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment (human in the loop).
  • Knowledge of software protocols for embedded development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
