The posting

Andworx is seeking an energetic, hands-on Growth Director to join our growing company which focuses on digital transformation using the Microsoft Cloud for Department of War, Federal Government, and regulated commercial customers. This position will lead the day-to-day execution of the Andworx business development and capture activities.

As growth Director, you will translate established growth priorities into qualified pipeline, customer and partner engagement, strategic capture activity, and measurable business results while coordinating closely with executive leadership, capability, delivery, proposal, contracts, and finance functions.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and bring the experience and judgment to manage priorities, recommend pursuit decisions, develop opportunities, lead captures, and direct the day-to-day activities of the internal growth team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is experienced with government contracting and can move comfortably between business development, customer engagement, opportunity qualification, capture execution, team coordination, and executive communication. The ideal candidate is experienced with navigating growth efforts within the Department of War as well as comfortable across federal, state, local, and commercial markets.

Please note: This position requires working 2 days a week onsite in office at Andworx HQ in Falls Church, VA. Candidates must be within a commutable distance to the Washington, DC Metro area, and have an ability to attend industry, partner, and government events.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible business development, capture, or growth experience within a government contractor environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing qualified pipeline.
  • Proven experience leading capture activities for IT, cloud, digital modernization, software, data, AI, or related technology-services opportunities.
  • Strong working knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle, IDIQ and task-order environments, competitive procurements, and opportunity-shaping practices.
  • Experience building relationships with customers, acquisition officials, industry partners, and prospective teaming partners.
  • Experience coordinating matrixed pursuit teams across technical, pricing, contracts, proposal, operations, and leadership functions.
  • Experience managing pipeline, forecasting, opportunity qualification, and capture execution.
  • Ability to evaluate opportunities, recommend priorities, and make sound business judgments with limited direction.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience coaching or developing less-experienced business development or capture personnel.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a small-to-mid-sized contractor environment requiring both strategic awareness and hands-on execution.
  • U.S Citizenship.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance or ability to successfully obtain and maintain this level clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Microsoft, cloud, low-code/no-code, AI, data, application modernization, or digital transformation pursuits in the federal market.
  • Prior experience capturing work within Army, Navy, USMC, Air Force, or understanding how to navigate the Department of War.
  • Experience with National security and Federal Law Enforcement organizations preferred.
  • Experience developing new opportunities within established federal accounts or adjacent customer organizations.
  • Experience building subcontracting and teaming strategies on larger federal integration opportunities.
  • Experience with state, local, and commercial growth efforts.
  • Familiarity with federal contract vehicles including GSA MAS, SeaPort NxG, OASIS+, Tradewinds, and other GWAC/IDIQ environments.
  • Existing relationships within relevant customer, partner, and technology ecosystems.
  • Experience working within a growing small or mid-sized federal contractor where priorities and roles evolve as the company scales.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
