What Makes the One Daytona Events Officer Different

The emphasis should be security + customer service + flexibility. Andy Frain describes its sports and entertainment security services as involving crowd management, VIP protection and emergency response, while the One Daytona event-staff posting emphasizes visible security presence, crowd management, access control, directional assistance, hazard/suspicious-activity monitoring and incident response.

Events Staff Officers are not guaranteed hours. Officers who consistently arrive on time, maintain professional appearance and conduct, follow instructions, interact well with guests, and successfully complete assignments will be given greater consideration as additional event and fill-in opportunities become available.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs., climb stairs, and walk as needed
  • Clear oral and written communication skills

Position Summary

The One Daytona Events Staff Officer is an event-based security position responsible for supporting safety, crowd management, guest service, access control, and property security during scheduled events at One Daytona. Unlike a regular Security Officer position, this role does not guarantee a set number of weekly hours; scheduling is based on the One Daytona event calendar, anticipated attendance, operational needs, and the officer's availability and reliability.

This is a particularly active event site. One Daytona is a NASCAR-owned mixed-use property directly across from Daytona International Speedway, with retail, dining, entertainment, hotels, apartments, and the International Motorsports Center, and NASCAR describes the property as hosting hundreds of community events annually.

One Daytona Events Staff Officer Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Florida Department of Agriculture Class D Security Officer License for assignments requiring licensed security personnel. A current Daytona-area posting for the One Daytona Event Staff Officer position specifically lists the Class D license as required.
  • Must successfully complete all required Andy Frain Services hiring, background, onboarding, and site-specific training requirements.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from One Daytona and be capable of reporting for assignments at varying hours.
  • Must understand that this is an event-based position with no guaranteed weekly hours. Officers are scheduled according to event staffing requirements, availability, reliability, and demonstrated job performance.
  • Must maintain reasonable scheduling flexibility, particularly for evenings, weekends, holidays, race weekends, and other high-attendance events. Daytona's calendar includes major periods such as Rolex 24, Speedweeks/Daytona 500, Bike Week, Jeep Beach, summer race events, Biketoberfest, and Turkey Run, in addition to One Daytona's own recurring community programming.
  • Must understand that accepting an event assignment creates an expectation that the officer will report on time and remain for the entire assigned shift unless properly relieved or authorized by Security Management.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, including working outdoors and moving throughout a large mixed-use property. Current One Daytona event-staff requirements specifically identify extended standing/walking as part of the position.
  • Must be prepared to work in Florida heat, humidity, rain, cold weather, and changing outdoor conditions, depending upon the event and assigned post.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while in uniform. Event Staff Officers are highly visible representatives of both Andy Frain Services and One Daytona.
  • Must possess strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Officers will regularly interact with guests, families, tenants, employees, vendors, event personnel, law enforcement, and property management.
  • Must be capable of providing directions and guest assistance and communicating property/event information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be comfortable performing crowd management and pedestrian-control duties, including maintaining walkways, monitoring gathering areas, assisting with lines, directing pedestrian movement, and helping prevent unsafe congestion.
  • Must be capable of performing access-control assignments, including monitoring entrances, restricted areas, event spaces, barricades, credentials, and other controlled locations as directed.
  • Must maintain constant situational awareness and promptly report suspicious persons, disturbances, unattended property, safety hazards, medical emergencies, fights, thefts, property damage, Code of Conduct violations, and other unusual activity.
  • Must understand and professionally enforce the One Daytona Code of Conduct and event-specific rules, while recognizing when a matter should be referred to a Supervisor, Security Management, or law enforcement rather than unnecessarily escalating a confrontation.
  • Must be capable of remaining calm and professional during high-volume or stressful situations, including large crowds, upset guests, emergencies, severe weather, traffic congestion, and major race-weekend activity.
  • Must follow the established security chain of command and immediately notify the assigned Supervisor or Security Management of significant incidents or concerns.
  • Must be capable of using a two-way radio professionally and following established radio procedures.
  • Must be able to provide accurate information and complete required Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, witness information, or other security documentation when directed.
  • Must cooperate professionally with Daytona Beach Police, Fire/EMS, property management, NASCAR personnel, tenants, and other event partners when assigned.
  • Must be willing to work different posts and assignments based upon operational needs rather than expecting a permanent event position or preferred assignment.
  • Must demonstrate reliability. Repeated tardiness, last-minute call-offs, no-call/no-shows, leaving an assignment without authorization, or repeatedly accepting shifts and later becoming unavailable may affect eligibility for future event assignments.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
