We are seeking a Product Compliance Development Analyst I to join our team at American National!
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, detailed reading, and translating complex information into clear and accurate language. You’ll research regulatory requirements, help develop and review policy forms and endorsements, analyze changes in laws and regulations, and communicate findings to business partners across the organization.
The position works within a collaborative agile environment and offers the opportunity to independently manage assignments while partnering with Product, Underwriting, Claims, Legal, and other teams.
This position is available on site in League City, TX.
What You’ll Do:
· Assists with developing and writing policy coverage forms and endorsements for new product development or product changes, ensuring compliance with state regulations while meeting business objectives and providing competitive differences in the marketplace. · Assists with research and analysis of state laws and regulations, advisory opinions and bulletins, and determine their impact on product offerings and/or on the company. · Assists with development and implementation of new product development and product changes in coordination with agile leadership, ensuring all business objectives and regulatory requirements are met.. · Researches state requirements for new product offerings and proposed product changes, and develops any state-specific forms, rules or notices, and coordinates any changes in procedures. · Analyzes, researches and responds to policy language/coverage questions from Product Managers, Underwriting, Underwriting Operations, Claims and Legal. Analyzes and completes case assignments in Company’s legislative and regulatory database, determine if any action is necessary, and coordinate required actions. · Coordinates and/or participates in meetings regarding the design and scope of new product development and product changes.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or higher, or equivalent work experience. Two years of experience in annuities insurance or related industry experience Two years of experience with product development in insurance or a related industry
What Will Help You Succeed:
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft, review, and revise detailed policy language, forms, notices, and other business documents. Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail, particularly when interpreting regulations, statutes, bulletins, policy language, and other technical or regulatory materials. Ability to translate complex regulatory or technical information into clear, concise written guidance for business partners and stakeholders. Experience conducting research through written sources, identifying key requirements, and summarizing findings and potential business impacts. Ability to compare and analyze written documents to identify differences, inconsistencies, or required changes. Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain research findings, regulatory requirements, and policy language to cross-functional partners Insurance education is desirable (Life: LOMA 3-4 Exams, SERFF Training)
