Location: Gurgaon (Remote)

Timings: US Shift (6 PM - 3 AM IST)

Role Overview:

The Procurement Senior Associate, Ankura IT, supports the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for technology goods and services across the firm. This role partners closely with IT, Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable, business stakeholders, and external suppliers to execute sourcing activities, manage purchase orders, support supplier onboarding, maintain procurement records, and help ensure purchasing activity is cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with Ankura’s operational needs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, service-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced professional services environment. This position requires strong follow-through, attention to detail, stakeholder communication, and the ability to improve procurement processes where structure may still be evolving.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with IT stakeholders to understand purchasing needs, validate requirements, and support sourcing strategies for hardware, software, SaaS subscriptions, professional services, maintenance agreements, and related technology services.
  • Support competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, by coordinating vendor outreach, collecting responses, preparing comparison summaries, and supporting supplier recommendations.
  • Create, process, and track purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with approved budgets, vendor quotes, procurement policies, and approval workflows.
  • Support supplier onboarding, vendor record maintenance, catalog updates, and data accuracy within Coupa or other procurement systems.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice, receipt, purchase order, and payment discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with contract administration by tracking renewals, key milestones, pricing terms, service commitments, and required stakeholder reviews.
  • Monitor supplier performance, order status, delivery timelines, and service issues; escalate risks, delays, or compliance concerns as appropriate.
  • Analyze spend, purchasing trends, vendor utilization, and renewal activity to identify opportunities for cost savings, standardization, consolidation, and process improvement.
  • Maintain clear procurement documentation to support audit readiness, compliance, reporting, and institutional knowledge.
  • Advise internal teams on procurement processes, vendor engagement expectations, purchasing timelines, and best practices.
  • Assist with system testing, workflow improvements, reporting enhancements, and process documentation to improve procurement efficiency and visibility.
  • Perform other procurement, vendor management, reporting, or IT operations support activities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, vendor management, or a related operations role.
  • Experience supporting technology procurement, including hardware, software licensing, SaaS, maintenance renewals, managed services, or IT professional services.
  • Experience executing RFx activities, vendor comparisons, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and procurement documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data, compare vendor options, and present clear recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work professionally with executives, business stakeholders, vendors, Finance, Legal, and Accounts Payable.
  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with procurement or ERP systems; Coupa experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a global, multi-location, consulting, professional services, or high-growth organization.
  • Experience with IT asset lifecycle processes, software renewals, vendor consolidation, contract tracking, and license management.
  • Knowledge of procurement controls, audit readiness, approval workflows, supplier risk, and contract compliance.
  • Familiarity with Service Desk Plus, asset management platforms, or IT operations workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, data validation, and spend analysis.
  • CPSM, CSCP, ITIL Foundation, or similar procurement, supply chain, or IT operations certification preferred.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Remote or hybrid work arrangement based on team structure and business needs.
  • Normal business hours aligned US time zones, with flexibility required to support stakeholders across multiple regions.
  • Occasional after-hours support may be needed for urgent business, supplier, renewal, or operational requirements.
  • Light travel may be required for team meetings, vendor discussions, office support, or business initiatives.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Ownership: Procurement requests are tracked, documented, followed through, and completed with minimal rework or escalation.
  • Service Partnership: IT stakeholders, Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable, and vendors receive timely, clear, and professional communication.
  • Cost and Value: Sourcing activities support measurable savings, vendor standardization, spend visibility, and improved purchasing discipline.
  • Compliance and Audit Readiness: Purchase records, approvals, supplier documentation, contracts, and renewal details are accurate, complete, and easy to validate.
  • Continuous Improvement: The role identifies process gaps, recommends practical improvements, and helps mature Ankura IT procurement operations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
