Deputy Team Leader – Fund Expenses

For our international client operating within the financial services sector, we are looking for an experienced professional to join the team as a Deputy Team Leader – Fund Expenses.

This role combines hands-on Fund Expenses expertise with team coordination responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to take the next step toward people leadership while remaining close to operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Team Leader in managing day-to-day Fund Expenses operations.
  • Coordinate work allocation, priorities, and deadlines within the team.
  • Review and oversee fund expense calculations and reporting activities.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with internal controls.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex operational issues.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external clients.
  • Prepare management reports and assist in capacity planning activities.
  • Participate in strategic projects, migrations, and process transitions.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience within Fund Expenses, Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, or a related area.
  • Previous experience coordinating work, mentoring colleagues, or acting as an SME/Team Coordinator.
  • Strong understanding of investment fund operations and expense allocation processes.
  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and team development.
