Dla naszego klienta z sektora bankowego poszukujemy doświadczonej osoby na stanowisko Kubernetes Platform Engineering Team Lead.

To propozycja dla osoby, która chce pozostać hands-on technicznie, a jednocześnie pełnić rolę lidera lokalnego zespołu. Będziesz pracować przy rozwoju i utrzymaniu globalnej, dużej platformy Kubernetes, wykorzystywanej przez wewnętrzne zespoły organizacji.

Zespół rozwija obecnie swoje podejście z klasycznego DevOps w kierunku Platform Engineering, stawiając duży nacisk na automatyzację, niezawodność oraz ograniczanie manualnych operacji.

Zakres odpowiedzialności

  • end-to-end engineering oraz lifecycle management platformy Kubernetes,
  • rozwój narzędzi i automatyzacji do zarządzania infrastrukturą i usługami,
  • automatyzacja powtarzalnych zadań operacyjnych i procesów BAU,
  • rozwój Platform Operations i usprawnianie sposobu zarządzania platformą,
  • zwiększanie niezawodności i jakości środowiska,
  • usprawnianie procesów upgrade'owania klastrów Kubernetes i usług,
  • monitorowanie i optymalizacja wydajności oraz wykorzystania zasobów,
  • capacity planning,
  • rozwój dashboardów i rozwiązań observability,
  • wykrywanie problemów oraz tworzenie mechanizmów self-healing,
  • troubleshooting środowisk produkcyjnych,
  • wsparcie techniczne zespołów developerskich,
  • udział w konsultacjach dotyczących system design i platform management,
  • techniczne wsparcie lokalnego, 5-osobowego zespołu,
  • współpraca z globalnym Engineering Team Leadem oraz zespołami w innych lokalizacjach.

Czego szukamy?

  • minimum 5 lat praktycznego doświadczenia w administracji Kubernetes, szczególnie w środowiskach produkcyjnych,
  • bardzo dobrej znajomości Kubernetes, konteneryzacji oraz ekosystemu K8s,
  • doświadczenia z technologiami takimi jak Istio, Ingress, Cilium, CSI / container storage,
  • bardzo dobrej znajomości Linux, w szczególności filesystemu i networkingu,
  • doświadczenia w zarządzaniu i utrzymywaniu środowisk produkcyjnych,
  • umiejętności automatyzowania infrastruktury przy wykorzystaniu Python i/lub Golang oraz Bash,
  • doświadczenia z Ansible, Jenkins i Git,
  • znajomości narzędzi observability – w środowisku wykorzystywane są m.in. Splunk i Datadog,
  • znajomości procesów ITIL,
  • doświadczenia w rozwiązywaniu problemów związanych z wydajnością, niezawodnością i dostępnością infrastruktury,
  • doświadczenia w mentoringu lub technicznym prowadzeniu innych inżynierów,
  • bardzo dobrej komunikacji i umiejętności pracy w globalnym środowisku,
  • znajomości języka angielskiego umożliwiającej swobodną komunikację biznesową.

Dodatkowym atutem będzie

  • doświadczenie z large-scale, multi-tenant enterprise Kubernetes environments,
  • znajomość protokołu HTTP,
  • doświadczenie ze storage: SAN/iSCSI oraz NAS/NFS,
  • znajomość VMware vSphere,
  • certyfikaty związane z Kubernetes lub konteneryzacją, np. CKA,
  • doświadczenie w obszarze Platform Engineering / SRE / Cloud Infrastructure.

Organizacja pracy

Zespół Platform Engineering jest globalny i działa w kilku lokalizacjach, m.in. w Polsce, UK, Indiach i Chinach.

Standardowo praca odbywa się w polskich godzinach, jednak ze względu na globalny charakter platformy potrzebna jest pewna elastyczność w zakresie wsparcia środowisk działających w różnych strefach czasowych.

Po okresie wdrożenia rola zakłada również udział w zmianach infrastrukturalnych realizowanych w weekendy w modelu follow-the-sun – obecnie około 2 weekendów w miesiącu. Jednym z celów zespołu jest dalsza automatyzacja tych procesów, tak aby wraz z rozwojem platformy ograniczać konieczność pracy weekendowej.
