The Hair Stylist will consult with clients to understand their needs, recommend suitable haircuts or color treatments, and perform professional styling, cutting, and chemical services while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultations: Greet clients, assess hair type and face shape, and recommend personalized cuts, colors, and treatments.
  • Hair Services: Perform precision cuts, trims, blowouts, styling, coloring (highlights, balayage, ombre), and chemical services (such as smoothing or perms).
  • Product Sales: Recommend and upsell salon-grade hair care, styling, and treatment products to clients.
  • Sanitation & Upkeep: Sterilize tools, sanitize workstations, and help keep the salon clean and organized.
  • Client Retention: Build loyal client relationships, manage appointment schedules, and encourage rebookings.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated on current fashion, hair trends, and modern styling techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven salon experience in hair cutting, coloring, and styling.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with hot tools, coloring techniques, and diverse hair textures.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, active listening, and customer service skills.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
