Job Description

The Mailing Services Technician consists of filing all agent mail; sorting and processing all incoming and outgoing mail and the knowledge of and assembly of full policies. Work is performed under close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and process in-coming and out-going company mail
  • Accurately file agency mail by numerical agency code and name
  • Check and determine the most prudent mailing method
  • Thoroughly review filed documents and/or assembled policies for accuracy
  • Operate mailing equipment and computer applications
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company-approved work location

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required
  • One to two years of job-related experience is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures to understand their meaning and use on a basic level
  • Ability to assemble information, develop opinions, and clearly express decisions using sound reasoning and judgement
  • Ability to communicate, both oral and written
  • Ability to understand and carry out complex instructions
  • Ability to organize and execute assigned work
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security
