The posting

Apnimed is a rapidly growing pharmaceutical company working to transform the treatment of sleep apnea based on a simple idea – patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) could benefit from treatment with a safe and effective oral medication dosed once daily at bedtime. Our lead development program, AD109, targets the neurologic control of upper airway muscles to maintain an open airway during sleep. Apnimed is committed to innovation, as well as state-of-the-art advancements in sleep medicine, which is leading to the development of a portfolio of novel pharmacologic therapies for sleep apnea and related disorders.

Recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in both 2024 and 2025, we are continuing to grow and build the foundational operations that enable our employees and our mission to thrive.

Summary:

The Sr. Director, Commercial Infrastructure & Operations reports to the VP, Commercial Operations and is responsible for the operational infrastructure and logistics that keep Apnimed’s commercial organization running day to day, spanning field state licensing, peer-to-peer (P2P) program operations, congresses and field meetings, commercial content submission, and sample and literature operations. The successful candidate will also play a key role in identifying where AI and automation can meaningfully reduce manual work and improve accuracy across these programs. This is an exciting opportunity to build durable, well-run commercial infrastructure right the first time and shape how it runs for years to come as Apnimed prepares for the potential commercialization of AD109, an investigational therapy, and to be at the forefront of a major paradigm shift in the treatment of sleep apnea from medical devices and surgery to a first in class pharmaceutical treatment.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $270,000.00 to $294,000.00. Final compensation will depend on the selected candidate’s level, education and relevant experience.

• Drive Congresses, Meetings & Events, planning and executing commercial congress presence and field meetings, including logistics planning and vendor/budget optimization.

• Oversee Commercial Content Submission, ensuring promotional content submission workflows, routing, and tracking accelerate MLR review cycle times (delivered through the Associate Director, Field Distribution & Licensing Operations).

• Oversee Sample & Literature Operations, coordinating sample and medical literature distribution and fulfillment, including demand forecasting and inventory management.

• Partner cross-functionally across the commercial organization to ensure operational infrastructure supports every team's needs as the business scales.

• Coordinate external vendors and partners supporting field state licensing, speaker program and event logistics, content submission, and sample/literature distribution.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

• 12+ years of progressive commercial operations experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with direct experience managing field state licensing/registration, speaker or P2P program operations, event logistics, or sample/literature distribution.

• Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) or distribution vendor relationships for sample and literature fulfillment.

• Working knowledge of the PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act transparency reporting, and speaker program compliance.

• Familiarity applying AI and automation tools (e.g., license/compliance tracking, speaker program spend monitoring, demand forecasting, content routing) to operational and logistics functions.

• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent logistics programs.

• Ability to manage simultaneous priorities and changing deadlines.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
