The posting

Are you up for a challenge? Then step up to the plate - this role is for you!

We’re looking for a Fullstack Engineer who feels equally comfortable working on both the frontend and backend to join our fintech project. At Cautus Geo, “Surveying for safety” is what we do every day. Our systems watch roads built on soft clay, mountainsides above busy tourist routes like Trollstigen, dams, tunnels and coastal waters around Norway. Sensors in the field measure tilt, cracks, water levels, waves, weather, noise and dust around the clock.

✅ If your experience and skills match our criteria for the role, apply for this job now. We will love to meet you! *Find out more about our recruitment process here.

➡️ Cautus Web, our monitoring platform. It brings data from many sensor types together in real time, sends alerts, and helps engineers tell a real anomaly apart from normal variation. ➡️ Maps and GIS. You’ll build interactive maps that show where every sensor is and what’s happening around it, from a single crack meter to a whole mountainside. ➡️ Data visualization. You’ll build advanced plots and interactive charts that show how the ground and buildings move over time and point out unusual changes. Our sensors produce millions of data points, so you’ll make sure large data sets load and display smoothly, without slowing down the browser. Everything should be quick to understand for both experts and non-experts. ➡️ Apps for field engineers and clients. These are tools used on site and by the people responsible for critical infrastructure.

What makes it special

➡️ Real impact. The things you build help prevent rockfalls, landslides and structural failures.

➡️ Unusual domain. You’ll work where geoscience, measurement technology and IT meet, with physical sensors, real terrain and real-time data.

➡️ Small team, big ownership. Decision paths are short, your ideas get heard, and you’ll shape the product. ➡️ You’ll work with a Norwegian company and its culture of trust and work–life balance, on a schedule that fits your life. ➡️ Room to grow. You’ll work closely with geologists, surveyors and measurement specialists.

➡️ At least 5 years of professional experience in fullstack development.

➡️ Writing C# code that handles very large data sets quickly and with care for memory use.

➡️ Good knowledge of modern Angular: signals, standalone components, the new control flow (@if, @for) and OnPush change detection, together with RxJS and strict TypeScript.

➡️ Knowledge of the Azure DevOps ecosystem: pipelines, artefacts, releases and agents.

➡️ Knowledge of the OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0 protocols.

➡️ Experience with ASP.NET Core APIs, the CQRS pattern, dependency injection and Entity Framework Core with SQL Server.

➡️ Experience with distributed systems where services talk to each other through message queues. You know how to follow a request across many services with tracing.

➡️ Experience building web apps that update live when the backend sends push notifications.

➡️ Writing automated tests on both sides: unit and integration tests in .NET, and unit and end-to-end tests in the frontend.

➡️ Experience with Docker and container-based builds. ➡️ Good command of spoken and written English and Polish.

➡️ Experience with maps and GIS: map layers, coordinate systems and projections, GeoJSON.

➡️ Experience with charts for time series data.

➡️ Knowledge of observability tools: structured logging, metrics and dashboards (Grafana stack, Prometheus).

➡️ Experience building accessible interfaces (WCAG AA).

➡️ Experience with HashiCorp Nomad or IoT protocols (MQTT, Modbus).

➡️ Experience with NgRx Signal Store

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
