Summary
Apple Intelligence is changing how customers around the world use their devices, and the new Siri is central to that. For every customer, Siri starts with setting it up, finding out what it can do, and choosing how it works for them. As the Engineering Manager for Siri Settings, Setup, and Compliance, you will lead the team that builds Siri Settings and Setup across Apple platforms. You will also lead compliance and instrumentation across Siri Experiences. We're looking for a hands-on technical leader who turns complex requirements into simple experiences customers trust.
Description
This is a hands-on technical management role. You will go deep on architecture and code with your team and set its direction. You will represent the team in executive design, privacy, and product reviews, and own high-visibility escalations. As the Siri Experiences lead for compliance and instrumentation, you will work with Privacy, Legal, and Data to define requirements and drive delivery across Siri while keeping your roadmap moving. As Siri grows, this team's scope will grow too.
Responsibilities
Own the product and technical vision for Siri Settings and Setup, and stay hands-on in architecture, code reviews, and debugging Balance fixed-date compliance commitments with the product roadmap, and own high-visibility issues before they escalate Turn regulatory, privacy, and policy requirements into technical plans with Privacy, Legal, and Program Management Define instrumentation with compliance and data teams, and make sure Siri's metrics are accurate and privacy-preserving Use data and experimentation to improve how customers discover and access Siri features across regions and devices Drive adoption of agentic coding and AI-driven UI testing across languages, regions, and device setups
Minimum Qualifications
B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years managing engineering teams, including owning a high-visibility area with executive exposure Deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI on iOS or macOS Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools, including leading their adoption across a team Track record of leading multi-team work against fixed deadlines, including turning regulatory, privacy, or data requirements into clear technical plans Strong product sense, with a track record of shipping customer experiences that balance trust with product goals Excellent communication skills, including with Legal, Privacy, and executive audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building onboarding, setup, or settings experiences at scale, including system-level integration on iOS and macOS Experience with privacy, consent, or regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act, Digital Markets Act) Experience with telemetry, privacy-preserving analytics, or A/B testing Experience with regional feature availability, localization, and accessibility across many markets Experience building AI-powered, conversational, or voice experiences
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,700 and $338,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
