Summary

Imagine what you can do here! We are committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and engineering excellence in product designs through simulation. We truly believe in the power of predictive simulation to make the impossible possible, transform industries, and improve people’s lives. As a member of the Product Design FEA team, you will use your understanding of simulation workflows, software engineering, and emerging AI tools to play a pivotal role in predictive engineering and directly impact the success of new iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro, and many more future products. Come join us and put a dent in the universe!

Description

As a core member of the Product Design FEA Methods team, you will drive the automation and AI-powered transformation of the FEA workflow — from model setup through post-processing and reporting. You will design, build, and deploy automation tooling (ANSA, META, etc.) and AI agents that reduce manual effort, accelerate simulation turnaround, and improve consistency across product programs. Your work spans identifying repetitive or error-prone steps in the FEA pipeline, architecting scripted or agent-based solutions to address them, and integrating large language model (LLM) and machine learning (ML) capabilities into day-to-day FEA practice. You will partner closely with FEA engineers, infrastructure owners, and commercial software vendors to ensure new tools are robust, validated, and adopted across the organization. In doing so, you will help the Methods team serve as a bridge across product lines, sharing automation and AI capabilities that benefit the broader FEA community.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mechanics, or a similar discipline, with 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering automation or software development. Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and finite element analysis (implicit and/or explicit FEA). Demonstrated software development experience in Python, including building and maintaining production-quality scripts, libraries, or tools. Experience automating engineering workflows (e.g., pre-/post-processing scripting, batch job orchestration, tool integration). Attention to detail and a commitment to verification/validation of automated tools and AI-generated outputs. Fluency with professional software practices such as git-based workflows and code review. Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a passion for building tools that accelerate cutting-edge product development.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience developing or deploying AI agents or LLM-based tools (e.g., ClaudeCode, custom agent workflows, prompt-driven automation) in an engineering context. Proficiency with FEA pre/post-processing tools (ANSA, META, Abaqus) and scripting their APIs. Experience integrating tools through standardized interfaces (e.g., MCP-style servers or equivalent) to expose pre/post-processors, solvers, and job schedulers to an agent. Familiarity with HPC environments and running distributed or large-scale simulation jobs. Experience with system-level modeling and simulation. Self-motivated to identify areas for improvement and drive innovation. Excellent cross-functional collaboration and written and verbal communication.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
