Join the Applied Global Services (AGS) Strategic Operations & Business Analytics team and gain hands-on experience working on high-impact initiatives with visibility to AGS leadership. As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support projects focused on business process improvement, supply chain optimization, operational excellence, cost reduction, and performance analytics.
This internship offers the opportunity to work on real business challenges, partner with cross-functional teams, analyze complex data sets, and help develop recommendations that drive measurable business value. You will gain exposure to a global service organization supporting a multi-billion-dollar business with thousands of field engineers, a complex logistics network, and a broad portfolio of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support analysis of business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance performance.
- Gather, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Assist in developing dashboards, reports, presentations, and executive-ready deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, and service organizations.
- Conduct research, benchmarking, and data-driven analyses to support strategic business initiatives.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of process improvement solutions.
- Help document business processes, requirements, and project outcomes.
Key Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Interest in operations, supply chain, data analytics, process improvement, or business strategy.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related disciplines is preferred.
Education
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university program and returning to school following the internship.
- Master's degree candidates are preferred.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
