UiPath RPA Developer – Job Description

Role Overview

The UiPath RPA Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining end-to-end Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using UiPath and other automation technologies. The role focuses on automating Finance & Accounting processes, integrating enterprise applications such as SAP, and building scalable, secure, and reusable automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and implement end-to-end automation solutions using UiPath Studio and Orchestrator.
  2. Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks using coding and architectural best practices.
  3. Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
  4. Prepare Solution Design Documents (SDD), technical specifications, and process documentation.
  5. Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, deployment, and post-production support.
  6. Manage enhancement requests, troubleshoot production issues, and support change management.
  7. Implement exception handling, logging, monitoring, and security controls.
  8. Conduct code reviews and establish development and documentation standards.
  9. Collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams during process assessment and solution design.
  10. Support RPA platform administration, infrastructure optimization, upgrades, and migration initiatives.
  11. Integrate UiPath with SAP, databases, APIs, third-party applications, and monitoring tools.
  12. Mentor team members, conduct technical walkthroughs, and promote automation best practices.
  13. Evaluate new UiPath features and intelligent automation capabilities to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

  1. Strong hands-on experience with UiPath Studio and UiPath Orchestrator.
  2. Experience developing and deploying end-to-end RPA solutions.
  3. Strong understanding of REFramework, exception handling, logging, queues, assets, and monitoring.
  4. Experience in Finance & Accounting processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  5. Working Knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or other ERP platforms.
  6. Experience integrating UiPath with enterprise applications, databases, and APIs.
  7. Knowledge of testing methodologies, deployment processes, and production support.
  8. UiPath Advanced Developer Certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Good knowledge of SQL, microservices, and automation architecture.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and DevOps practices.
  3. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
  4. Understanding of Intelligent Automation, AI-powered automation, and UiPath AI capabilities.
  5. Experience integrating automation solutions with Splunk or other monitoring and reporting tools.
  6. Knowledge of infrastructure scaling, platform optimization, and automation governance.
  7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
