Your Role:

As a software engineer at AQR, you will build or extend our:

  • Scalable, AWS-based storage and computing infrastructure
  • Generalized research platform
  • Data ingestion and validation engine
  • Model computation and signal generation pipeline

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering production software systems.
  • Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications, preferably using AWS services and modern cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience developing and optimizing large-scale data processing pipelines and working with big data technologies.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating production-scale AI/ML applications, with a strong focus on system stability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, performance optimization, observability, and operational excellence for production systems.
  • Experience supporting quantitative research, alpha generation platforms, signal generation, portfolio construction, or trade generation systems is a strong plus.
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python; experience with C++ is a plus.
  • Strong Linux development and troubleshooting experience in production environments.
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience designing and optimizing data storage and retrieval for high-volume applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, agile environments with evolving requirements and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and architectural decisions across engineering teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
