Are you an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a passion for control systems and vehicle technology? Do you enjoy working with complex systems that have a direct impact on vehicle performance, energy efficiency, and customer experience? Then this could be your next opportunity. ALTEN is now looking for an Embedded Software Engineer for an assignment towards one of our clients within the automotive industry. In this role, you will contribute to the development of software solutions within Thermal Management, helping to create efficient and sustainable vehicle systems for future transport solutions. About the role As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for the development and maintenance of application software controlling thermal management systems. The work includes both new feature development and continuous improvements of existing functionality. This position is well suited for an engineer who enjoys combining technical depth with a system perspective, while contributing to the development of complex mechatronic systems. Main responsibilities Develop and maintain embedded software for thermal management applications Perform requirements breakdown, software design, implementation, testing, and verification Support system tuning, calibration, and functional verification activities Contribute to the development of new features and functionality Drive quality and readiness activities before software releases Support system integration and verification in simulation, rig, and vehicle environments Contribute to technical roadmaps, methods, and continuous improvements

Your profile You are a self-driven and solution-oriented engineer with a genuine interest in embedded systems and technology. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with colleagues across different functions and locations. We see that you have: M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent Experience in Embedded Software Development Experience with control strategy development and software verification Experience with functional verification and system calibration Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment

Meritorious: Knowledge of automotive thermal management systems Experience with SIL, MIL, or HIL testing Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, TargetLink, Jenkins, Embedded Coder, C, C++, or Python Experience planning, performing, and analyzing rig or vehicle testing Experience working within the automotive industry C or CE driving license
